This loss was all on Candrea. He made some absolutely idiotic decisions and didn't play to win in the bottom of the 7th, he deserves this L. It's sad that pitching and Dayton will be scapegoated for this loss, because it was all on him. He was more than happy to let two batters who barely batted over .100 with no power have ABs in the bottom of the 7th and then again in the bottom of the 9th. He deserves this L and the L that'll come tomorrow with his best and quite frankly only pitcher fatigued.

I'd argue that leaving Denham in for the start of the 7th was a huge blunder. You could see her struggling in the innings leading up to that one, should have put Lopez out there to start the inning and we probably win. I'd assume this is one of the "idiotic decisions" you mention though lol

Lol yes that was one of them, but if you wanna have faith in your senior fine, but having faith in two underclassmen who are barely batting .100? No.

I was surprised after the first batter got on that Candrea did not bring in Lopez. I wish he would give Kean more playing time. She has speed and is a good hitter.

A lot of people at the weomen's bball game were following the softball game on their phones. wish they hadn't overlapped, then I could've watched Denhams pitching in person.

Yep. Lopez seems to have some major similarities to McQuillin in not only pitching style, but also she's a very very effective starter and very iffy as a reliever.

3-2 in the tourney. Wish we would have beat Florida but softball is now do competitive. Do may good pitchers and position players
