The loss of McDaniel drops Arizona’s 2025 class to 57th in the country, per 247Sports, and 12th in the Big 12. The class still includes one QB, 3-star Luke Haugo, the top-rated passer in Arizona.
Another note, I hope our staff is adequately evaluating who we'd really like to stay and encouraging them.
I'm thinking of Bill Norton who we got to see against as a Longhorn against Georgia this weekend. It's hard to believe that our staff didn't make him feel wanted.

CC: The average NIL for an SEC lineman is around $650,000-700,000. In the Big12 its around $150,000.
I think Bill Nortons leaving had very little to do with feeling "wanted" and everything to do with $$$. The following link
gives some insight on the NIL difference between and SEC school (Texas) and the Big12 (UA)

Could be, but the scuttlebutt is that he wanted to stay and the staff didn't try to keep him.
Your response wasn't unexpected though. Are you family of a staff member?

Any of these guys any good? Who is recruiting these defensive guys? Gonzales?

Didn’t we recruit Cole out of HS? The O Lineman we brought in last year were dreadful. Had high hopes for Oglesby but so far, not so good

If sac st has 50mil in NIL, then we are screwed…
Interesting choice of coach
Not just Sac State. Trying to recreate the Colorado miracle with Prime.
Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?

They’re spending that money over 10-12 years before anyone gets any ideas this is just for 2025.

Not a surprise that the vibes were off with Dead Fisch and the Huskies. Probably heard that whatever Fisch promised him was bullshit.

He mentions mostly playoff teams. Do we have a chance here? His brother is still committed to us I think

Maybe I'm wrong here, but how can we expect to attract good defensive talent when we haven't named a DC and these kids don't even know what our scheme will be?
Could our chosen DC still have games remaining with his current team?

Just speculation, but Johnny Nansen is still coaching for Texas as co-DC. Maybe he is eyeing the head coaching position at Arizona once Brennan gets fired once he gets named as sole DC.

DC is Danny Gonzalez until it isn't based on all signs out there currently.
The only thing I can think of for not naming Gonzales as the DC is Gonzales is not going to be the DC. Deep down I think the coaching staff know how the DC is going to be but are doing a darn good job of keeping it close to the vest.

I made a post last week about that possibility and why it might be feasible. It may be a big leap but not out of the question.
