That game could go either way. These two could see each other again in March.

Very doubtful. They're undefeated, and I don't even think they've trailed in a game this year by more than a few points. You're underestimating Ball.

If there shots are not falling it could get ugly but they could also get hot and make a run. I think UCLA will show the country that they are for real.
Best part about this is one of us will be right and one of us will be wrong. My limb is much further out than yours for sure.
Go Bruins and go PAC 12

If ucla wins and Ball shoots over 40% from deep, YDF's head might explode. Either way, we wouldn't see him again.
In all seriousness, we aren't as athletic as they are and our defense will allow them to keep pace fairly easy

Im curious what the o/u will be open as. They may score 180+ combined.

You think they're going to try to keep pace with your scoring. That's rich.

Kenpom has it as a 171pt o/u.

I don't see how UCLA keeps pace against Kentucky. Also don't know why the hell we are tipping off so goddamn early. If the spread is less than 10 or 12 then UK is a good bet.

UCLA needs to quit throwing the ball away. Ball has 5 turnovers so far. Also their defense has been less than enthusiastic.
I get UK has some great athletes but you have to at least look like you want to play on that end. The Bruins have played like shit and are down only 2. They can win this

UCLA did not play anywhere near as well as they can and lead by 4, 49-45. They are a real threat this year for a FF IMO. Not sure if I would say I have great confidence with their sideline (coach) but you would think they will progress and should be a monster by tourney time

Alford stepping back and just being a threat to come off screens has helped them a lot : )
Great battle at the point in the first half! UCLA just seemed a little put off by the pressure.

Impressed by ucla. Taking it to U.K. In rupp.
They look like the better coached team right now. U.K. Is settling for quick jump shots.

UCLA having no problem whatsoever handling pressure in the 2nd and spreading the floor. They can shoot or attack from all over.

If I were coaching UCLA I would have them attack the rim more - they have been in the bonus for like 10 minutes with no free throws. But I guess that's a minor point.

Ball didn't shoot 40%
Kentucky couldn't keep pace with UCLA's offense

Peaking too early?
Will be interested more in how UCLA handles its next opponent--back at Pauley, with no spotlight and no national TV.
Regardless, a signature win for the Pac-12 today.

Leaf was really good but he excels in an up and down game like that. Moving Junior off the point has been the biggest change. He is a 2 guard and now they all believe.
The have scorers on the wings and the bigs (Welsh and Leaf) can shoot. Tge benchnus very serviceable. Ball had arguably his worst game yet and they win at #1 somewhat easily.
The Bruins might run the conference, 18-0. You better hope to catch them on an off shooting night

Meh, I'm not sold on this version of UCLA just yet. "Hero ball" also includes playing like all-World at No. 1 and against Arizona, of course.
Like I said, fantastic win for the conference, but it was still just one game. Let's see if the Bruins can hit that level consistently before we start drawing any conclusions.

G, they have played even better than today, albeit against lessor comp. They have scored over 100 a bunch of times.
They will beat Michigan next week by 20. They can really score the basketball and put so much pressure on you offensively and are very unselfish with the rock
Likely they will drop a few but it is going to take an off shooting night from them to lose IMO

Classifying this year's ucla team as hero ball means you've probably watched about 5 minutes of ucla basketball. They are unselfish to a fault.
Defense is not elite however
