I think it’s about damn time Arizona got a TBT alumni team.

Notable players I think could play:

Nick Johnson
DWill
Rondae
Stanley
Kobe Simmons
Brandon Randolph
Brandon Williams?
Kaleb Tarczewski
Brandon Ashley
Keanu Pinder
Gabe York
Nico Mannion

Technically he's a fucking cat, but I love the sentiment.

Not really an NBA fan, but if the Pacers win it all, I'm buying a TJ jersey.

TJ would not be in the NBA if not for Sean Miller calling in favors to get him invited to the NBA tryouts. Miller knew his talent when he could shoot the ball hardly at all. He is a dog.

TJ is so fun to watch - love seeing him succeed in the NBA. We haven't had a true great PG since him at UA IMO.

Fact that Mathurin is also on the Pacers is a win as well!

Lots of TJ McConnell in my feed especially lately. This is the best article lately:

https://www.sbnation.com/nba/2024/5/25/ ... mmy-butler

Here's 9 thefts in one half, an NBA record.

https://www.nba.com/watch/video/tj-mcco ... first-half

Also there's a of 50 takeaways on in bound passes

Say the name.

You're goddamn right.

I remember the days when teams wouldn't even guard TJ because he rarely took a shot in college.

Look at our boy now.

Watched him play as a kid on those Wooden dynasty teams as well as with the Lakers.

The one guy I always felt would be a star in the NBA and be there the longest is Lauri Markkanen. I hope the Warriors get him (they're after him) as it looks like he is on the trading block.

Don't recall Keshad being so vocal while playing at Arizona.

He probably was, just never heard him and since he wasn't really often the focal point of the offense didn't get a lot of screen time.

The deal will come via a renegotiation-and-extend, using the Jazz’s $33 million of open salary-cap space. League sources said Markkanen’s deal is projected to be worth upwards of $200 million over five years. It keeps him under contract through 2029, giving him the richest contract in Jazz history and one of the highest salaries for a European player in NBA history.

That’s awesome for both of them. He really fell in love with Utah and didn’t want to be traded.

Negative wingspan too.

TJ's higher ranked teammates:

Nick Johnson
Aaron Gordon
Kaleb Tarc
RHJ
Brandon Ashley
Stanley Johnson
Ristic
Ryan Anderson

So Aaron Gordon is the only other one?

But Lute knew. He said the Cats' best player was not even playing due to having a redshirt year.

Indiana Pacers guard T.J. McConnell has agreed on a four-year, $45 million contract extension that takes him through the 2028-29 season, Mark Bartelstein and Andy Shiffman of Priority Sports told ESPN on Friday.

McConnell had been under contract for $9.3 million for the 2024-25 season and now is tied to the Pacers for five years and $54 million.
