There are actually four of them right in the heart of downtown. I bought them for Big12 Tourney, NCAA Tourney and the NFL draft last year for my beer client.

I know certain people think KC is a cowtown, and in some ways it is, but they are about the population of Tucson and yet have so much more going on.

That’s going to be a competitive bb league

You improve by losing to Oregon St.

And again, more potential big money donors live in these states than all BIG12 states combined other than Arizona.
I’d love to see the list you got those percentages from.

Also, big money donors travel to see Arizona play. They don’t wait for Arizona to come near them like poor schlubs like me. So that point is totally useless.
The way some of us are talking about moving conferences is like how businesses did meetings before zoom.

OMG our donors will never follow AZ cause there are in a different conference!

Tell that to the money ‘d Chicago, NYC, DC cats alums.
There are 5,000 UA Alum living in the Seattle metro area. Average salary for those living there is $76,000. The question is, how many SeaCats will see a game at Husky Stadium at one time, versus either traveling to Tucson or some BIG12 travel spot? And sorry, but schmoozing with the President and AD and going to a game is a little different than holding a Zoom meeting.

Used to be very active. Then I got three young kids and pretty intense job. There’s other things I’d rather do with my weekends these days.

Same story here with WindyCityCats. Except it was 2 kids and a move an hour away.

Not a bad fan. A good parent. I'd say that is more important. And if you're career has followed a typical pattern, you're making more now than you did before you had kids. I know my household income is significantly higher now than ever before. I too have kids, including a daughter who is a freshman in Tucson. That's where all my money goes.

Reed Francois was in L. A. to catch the men's games. Think she just went to the games and spent time in the hotel in between? Or, did she meet with some top donors? Next year, unless we add some non conference games, we don't visit CA at all!

They’ll be able to do all of that and more I suspect in the Big12 and I am here to cheer them on.

We get national exposure and are still regional for the most part take away 3 schools. I've heard WVU and Cinci are about as far away as the Washington schools so it's pretty much just Central Florida that's a bit of a journey.
When it comes to power conferences there is no more west coast.

I don’t feel like El Paso is west of the Rockies (maybe just south of them), but even if it was, 3 out of 13 players shows that only being featured in “the west” would hurt our recruiting. We are a national brand that should be on a national channel no matter how many candles Machina wants to light for the PAC-8 Network.

So far this season Arizona has lost 7 times. Is there a common denominator in those losses? Here are the average "40 minute Bird scores" (similar to PER) for our eight rotation players in those 7 games.

21 Ballo
20 Johnson
16 Love
14 Krivas
10 Larsson
9 Bradley
6 Lewis
-2 Boswell

Here in Vegas (with the SC and UCLA fans set to trudge home on I-15), it strikes me that previous talk of the benefits of associating with the LA TV market was always bullshit. It benefitted the LA schools, who milked that to death and got preferential treatment from the league. We entered the Pac as a WAC school who benefitted from the driving distance from SoCal, but suffered from a minor league environment and exposure. We now enter the Big XII as a long-established P4 brand school within driving distance from SoCal, but without all the oxygen taken out of the room by the LA schools. We will no longer be banished to the sad Pac-12 network or always filling late-night TV programmer blocks. Better times lie ahead and should be embraced.

This x100. Phoenix is a small tv market when you look at the top 10 and the LA bias was always the case. It’s comical how bad the Pac 12 was and the network sucked even more.

We’ll have to see what our region looks like tomorrow. If UNC is the 1 in our region, that’s not exactly an unbeatable opponent. I love our chances to win 2 games in this year’s tournament. That’s really not setting the bar very high for this team.

It’s been frustrating for sure. For some reason, Boswell is more frustrating to me than Love, even though the latter is older and supposed to be our MVP. I’d like to see Bradley and Lewis get more minutes.

This is one of the most frustrating teams ever at Arizona.

We know the tournament is all about matchups, and we could still luck out in that respect.

However, all things being equal, I see the ceiling for this team to be the Sweet 16.

I was confident of a Final Four before the Pac-12 season began. Yikes!!!

Hope springs eternal, and therefore the only available attitude still must be BTFD!!!!

Pelle too has made all kinds of poor decisions lately.

Definitely the most frustrating team for sure I can remember. The way the first team lets up when ahead is really unforgiveable. Although I have done my share when playing rec center ball and then regretted it when the other team gets all the momentum.

As soon as the guards start letting up, I would pull the 3 of them and put in Lewis, Bradley and Filip B/Martinez. Nothing like a little pine time to get your head right.
