Yes on the first part.

As for the second part... you also lose to some. If UCLA was As good as advertised, I would not call a home game against an unranked 2-2 team a "big" game. I would call it a bad loss in a game they should expect to win easily.

UCLA was pyrite.

oregon's new mach speed "pioneer" unis for this weekend. the westward-pointing duck next to lewis & clark on the helmet is just too much. stop it, oregon, just stop.

So many Oregon Trail jokes. They'll probably shoot the duck for food.

Smart move by Jack. I don't understand the need to announce it now, but he was going pro after this season regardless.

Anybody else impressed by this UW defense thus far. Picks, pressure, tackles. Interesting approach.

There must be some unwritten pressure at USC to to throw the ball. They need to run more

Man Sark is dumb. Killing them with the run so they come out with 3 straight passes for less than 5 yards and a 3-and-out. Nice work.

That last drive was terrible. You're gashing them on the ground, and then you have first and 10 and just need to drive down the field. So you go deep on first down?

What I was thinking. Another loss or two (Usc still has to play @Oregon, @ cal @ Notre Dame, Ucla, Arizona and Utah) and it's 2012 all over again. At this point they look like a 7-5/8-4 team.

Their tenures at USC have started out with the exact same record, though I'd argue Kiffin was faced with more adversity than Cutty Sark.

I said a couple of months ago that even Sark couldn't screw up the talent at USC.

I don't believe that nonsense for one minute anymore.

I think the guy is damaged goods and will never find real success for two primary reasons.

I feel he is viewed by people in the know as well as powerful boosters as an incompetent drunk that just happens to coach football. But even more telling is he is by any standard a very average to poor game day coach.

His teams are consistently some of the poorest disciplined teams around.

He may last three years at USC but he won't make it past four before imploding. You can take that to the bank.

Sports Illustrated saying Haden made the wrong hire:

http://www.si.com/college-football/2015 ... s-petersen" target="_blank

When considering Sarkisian versus Petersen, USC picked hoodies over khakis, sideline volatility over serenity and a coach who has proven he can win on signing day as opposed to league play. USC took Sarkisian with his 35–29 record at Washington over Petersen’s 92–12 at Boise. USC took style over substance, sizzle over steak. They took the comfort of Uncle Pete’s coaching tree over the proven acumen of Coach Pete. While those records are not apples to apples comparisons, we’ve learned at USC that there’s something to be said for having received a driver’s license before taking over a Cadillac program. And, no, winning the Holiday Bowl doesn’t count.

USC is an out-of-control institution. Football's going down in flames and Enfield is proving to be a young d-bag hire. There's no base to settle back to there.

It's starting to look like golden boy AD Haden fired Lane Kiffin and hired drunk Lane Kiffin, which isn't a great look.

Or, perhaps, this year and every other year of Sarkisian's career are the aberrations and he's just about to get sober and put together 5 consecutive 11+ win seasons.

 Oh shit that sentence was fun to type.

Before this sage is over, even Pat Haden is going to have to call in a few favors.

It's not a guarantee that someone will answer the phone.

Pat Haden's seat is not just hot............its on fire. It's entirely possible that none of the trio of Haden, Sark and Enfield survive the next two years.

What's the chance of making the two point conversion, 40%? If you make it you win; I'm probably taking that instead of OT at Autzen considering I'm WSU.
