I see GA seating available for tonight. Never been but assuming that guarantees a seat?

Yeah just doesn't guarantee which seat you get of course. It's not like there's a bad seat in the house to be concerned with what seat you get though.

More or less...for day games, the shaded seats are gone to season tickets, and those bleachers can get hot. But you are 200 ft from home plate and the whole game opens up to you.
Just pay attention...a ball is going to come your way. Best way to get me visibly angry at Hi Corbett is for someone down the right field line during a right hander or vice versa to start posing their kids for pictures past the netting along the stands. If you want to risk your life as an adult, whatever, but do NOT put your kid's head exposed just past the dugout open side to the hitter. Or ever, but especially then.

Mauga ended the 4th with a deep fly, about 3 more feet and it would have been a grand slam.
Watched the 3 games at Utah today, and Miss St was awful both days. SEC overrated as usual.

She'll obviously miss fall ball but she should be ready by the start of the 2018 season, which usually starts in the middle of February. If she isn't 100% by February, I would bring her slowly as the non-schedule is not as important as conference play.
Looks like Eva Watson is going to replace Alyssa, she brings a lot of speed to the line-up. The only problem is Candrea did not let her or Dotson(other center fielder) hit a lot once conference play began and those two will need to catch up fast. Watson did lead the team in hitting last year, so she is capable of getting the job done.

Is Dotson a slapper too? I love Eva's speed and she's a real good slapper, but having 3 hitters at the bottom of the lineup who are pure slappers could cause problems later IMO.

Dotson is also a slapper. Candrea said after today's game he likes how the bottom of the order has been performing.

Today they certainly performed no question, I'm just thinking big picture. If small ball works though I'll roll with it.

"Little" Taryn Mowatt's performance against the Randy Johnson of softball, Monica Abbott, was a thing of beauty.

All 16 host teams won their regionals. Is that common?

azgreg wrote:All 16 host teams won their regionals. Is that common?
In 2016, 2 regional hosts lost (both to P12 schools), but all 8 OKC participants were regional hosts.
In 2015, the 8 national seeds advanced to OKC and the top 14 all advanced to supers.
In 2014, 2 regional hosts lost (asu was one), but all 8 OKC participants were regional hosts.
In 2013, 3 regional hosts lost, but all 8 OKC participants were regional hosts.
So I guess it's not common, but shouldn't be too shocking either.
