I think the reason for flooding the site with new members is to make it more difficult to spot the real members. There will be traffic at TOS. It's more of a matter of how much and for how long. People will become bored and leave if there are only a few.

This might have to do with cellular coverage but about half of the avatars in use are showing up as an empty box. Might be cell coverage. Might be first glitch from traffic. Not sure. Probably former.

He saw you as a threat. You were attempting to drive away customers to his site. If I ran a website and someone did this to me, I'd do the same thing.

True story.

I generally like to think that a person or team shows their true form when under immense stress or load. I watched my team at work excel when our product launched and it was amazing. When pushed to the limit they could have easily complained and got upset, but they did the opposite and I am very proud of them.

What we are seeing here with TOS is the opposite of that spectrum and it is very rough to see.

While it is possible that these accounts are being created by TOS to inflate numbers, its also possible that people are being malicious and attempting to create accounts using scripts to do bad things, like scrape content and potentially post/pm users at random. I have seen this a lot on other boards and while it is easy to mitigate, there is sometimes residual shit that makes it through, like the stuff in the member listing.

Not defending TOS, just pointing out observations from days past.
