He could have 5 years of eligibility left... it still wouldn't matter
That's probably fair at this point.
Are we ever going to find out what happened with Aiken, or is he just going to fade off into the distance?
I don't even know what it is, but the fact that this has been handled similarly to the Elliott Pitts/Max Hazzard situations probably means it's similar and we'll never publicly hear anything.

Is this speculation or do you have a little knowledge?

You can tell the gravity of the situation by the level of silence - like viewing a black hole in space.
This keeps happening too much to the basketball program at this point and I'd argue each situation up to this point (once again I'm not clear on Aiken's situation, but I'm assuming here) was handled as piss poor as it gets. The Hazzard situation was a bogus false claim and it was obvious from the start. The Pitts situation was two equally HIGHLY anebriated college kids doing what two highly anebriated college kids end up doing, which got compounded by a sibling walking in on it. The university has to find a better way of handling situations like this and I know it's not easy, but this is just stupid at this point.

Agreed. Feels really unfair to the players but I'm not sure what the answer is (beyond, just get this reviewed and done with ASAP). You have to take allegations seriously but the AD, et al should also be cognizant that pulling players and hiding them away is incredibly harmful to the player.

I think this is all speculation. It could be anything including anxiety, depression, illness etc. I find it a bit disconcerting that we are intimating that it was some type of issue that is not just what it is made out to be, Personal.

I think we are misunderstanding the scholarship reduction process. The ones I have seen are 2 scholarships reductions in 3-4 years. In other words you have 3 years to take them. Could be one for 2 years in a row or any other way. I have never heard of them saying take away something you already offered. Maybe I'm wrong but don't think so.
This is correct.
And it's entirely possible (likely, I think) that while we haven't publicly announced that we've held back a scholarship as a self-sanction, we've privately submitted that punishment to the IARP. You don't have to declare it publicly ("I declare bankruptcy!") for it to count... and really what service is there in adding another to the media chatter another talking point about Arizona facing a recruiting punishment.

We're not speculating as much as you think.
You have personal knowledge? Then lets hear it.
It is what it is. Talking about it won’t make it go away, and only invites further speculation.
We should just let it go. For all intents and purposes, Aiken is not a part of the team.

I still want to know why Nancy Evans was kicked to the curb.

It is speculation, but it most definitely fits the pattern. I do know it’s not an illness (he’s working out in Tucson) nor does he have a history of anxiety/depression (doesn’t mean he isn’t suffering from it now). He’s still going to school fwiw. I’ll stop speculating about it, but my point still stands in the university needing to handle situations like Pitts/Hazzard much better.

The previous coaching staff was also horrible at handling these type of situations. My guess is Tommy and his staff will take a different approach.

Seems like the coaches shouldn’t really be involved.
Other than to say “no comment “.

That's how I see it with a Pitts-type situation. It's a sensitive thing where coaches saying things influences serious real world stuff.
Look at Izzo's intervention in criminal allegations. That's a no bueno for me.

In the Pitts situation Miller thought it would be a good idea to sit Pitts on the bench a few seats away from Mason….
The only possible reclass guy as far as I'm aware is Proctor and it's far from a sure thing he goes that route.
i believe if everyone returns other than Mathurin Arizona will be even better next year.
That’s where “we want to be” on that subject.

Given our success this year and style of play along with probable scholarship reductions, I would think for potentially that last scholly we would take our pick from the portal for that last spot

How does subtracting Mathurin make us better? I hear you about our roster looking pretty solid for next year, but I don't see anyone on next year's roster (yet) with the slashing talent or athleticism of Mathurin.

All this team needs to step forward is a deadeye shooter. A Salim type with no fear. Benn is in a slump. I think he put a lot of pressure on himself with all the talk about the league and lottery. Hopefully he will make a strong recovery because he is key to a long run.

Just a year more experience with the other players. Going to miss Kier though. He is really an unheralded player, and rarely gets in the conversation of good UA players.

If Nowell and Bal can increase their muscle mass and on-court IQ, there’s no reason they couldn’t split his minutes.
I am fairly certain the "Ole Miss" connection that keeps getting thrown out there with Proctor is bad reporting, his dad played for Mississippi College not Ole Miss.
