they look pretty lethargic out there, and the Trojans have come to playCalStateTempe wrote:UCLA's in trouble.
humpty dumpty isn't getting together again.CalStateTempe wrote:Think UCLA loses tonight?
I kinda think they might not have recovered from this shit kicking we gave them.
Stupid autocorrect, meant to say "UCLA has issues...".Chicat wrote:I think USC has issues they won't be able to overcome tonight.CalStateTempe wrote:Think UCLA loses tonight?

yep. it is annoying as hell.Longhorned wrote:Yeah but UCLA's main purpose has always been to take themselves down and pull us down with them.
If they do head on down the drain to mediocrity, will we see another Alford apology letter?Bear Down Vegas wrote:UCLA wasn't as good as they appeared in the first half of the season & they aren't as bad as they look now. Alfords squared are their main issues obviously but they won't completely tank. Too much talent.

It means if ucla was good, theyd beat Arizona and increase Arizona's chance at a 1 seed on the west. Since we are a pathetic 19-3, we have killed Arizona's chance at a good seed.PHXCATS wrote:scumdevils86 wrote:yep. it is annoying as hell.Longhorned wrote:Yeah but UCLA's main purpose has always been to take themselves down and pull us down with them.
After UCLA went into decline, Ben Howland's mother would lay out his lucky trousers for him for game days against Arizona, and his team would come out looking All-World and beat us, and then go back to looking like garbage against everyone else, as if their only goal was pull down Arizona's resume. Steve Alford continued that pattern. So now I'm waiting for UCLA to fall into the gutter just to show everyone that Arizona's win at Pauley wasn't all that.PHXCATS wrote:scumdevils86 wrote:yep. it is annoying as hell.Longhorned wrote:Yeah but UCLA's main purpose has always been to take themselves down and pull us down with them.

According to L.A. times columnist, Bill Plaschke, it's, "U of A".baconus66 wrote:"overated" is the worst chant in sports

I don't know how to access it, but it was in his column right after we beat UCLA. Sunday's L.A. Times. I'm pretty sure it was Plaschke. It was definitely in that issue. Caught my attention because I love hearing that chant ... anywhere.PHXCATS wrote:Can you please link to where he said/wrote this?MrMeow wrote:According to L.A. times columnist, Bill Plaschke, it's, "U of A".baconus66 wrote:"overated" is the worst chant in sports

Thank you so much for splitting hairs and drawing that to my attention. Was moreso talking about Steve putting his son in games where he can't play defense, or offense.MrBug708 wrote:What can Steve say or do at this point?Olsondogg wrote:Well that's basically what Steve's done himself, right?MrBug708 wrote:Wonder what Steve thinks about Ball putting his son ahead of the good of the team?
