They got their Webelo merit badges that game.
Actually I think they had their badges taken away and were kicked out of the Cub Scouts!

Scheer said they got the money from boosters to cover their promises on his podcast with Luke. Going forward he wasn’t sure of their potential for big NIL dollars

I thought schools could not promise NIL money since it's all private donations with no university staff. Coaches can only facilitate NIL deals.

The best part is ASU is playing close games so the teams that come here still have to prepare for them. This is the quality ASU always needs to be at.

Will also lessen willingness to dump NIL money into that hole especially after they see what can be done with a better coach in football.

This ASU is not a typical lower talented team. Arizona is only a 6.5 pt favorite and has only at 65% chance of winning. ASU has some really good players and our inside game will be tested by their shot blockers. Expect a battle.

Poor Bobby…

Can you imagine if your player got headbutted and then ejected from a game on your rival’s home floor? I’d pull my team off the court for their safety too.

Oh wait…

Fuck Bobby Forever

This might be his last hurrah. 10 years, 2 winning conference seasons in a relatively weak Pac-12, 3 NCAAs with first round losses, and 5 total wins over Arizona. In their biggest home game of the year, they were hoping for a big win for an extremely long-shot to eventually get in. So, lots of pressure, he gets a T, they keep it tight for a while, then the usual happens before their biggest (split) crowd of the season. And the typical a-hole player he's able to recruit gets the boot for a head-butt broadcast coast-to-coast repeatedly on CBS, he won't shake hands afterwards, and he accuses Arizona of classlessness in his post-game interview. And they can expect a blowout in the rematch at McKale. They can't do any better than him, but his behavior's an embarrassment. At least Sendek kept his head down. With his resume, I can't see him at any school at a level much better than like the MAC where he came from. Or he can bow down and be an assistant for his big brother. In any event, since everybody seems tired of his act, I'd guess he may be packing his bags.

I only go back to the early 70s, but this stuff seems endemic with ASU players, coaches, and fans. And it's partly because their fanny-kissing media and supporters whitewash it or sweep it under the rug. In the midst of losses to us, I've seen Kush have tantrums on the sideline and break a yard marker and a clipboard over his knee, Wulk just about burst blood vessels in his face screaming at the refs (when his whole roster should have fouled out), and Brock with all kinds of sarcastic insults and misstatements of facts on post-game interviews. And their media generally will tend to be critical of losses to us, but will otherwise pat their coaches on the head for their "understandable" behavior, considering their wonderful competitive spirit. The whole situation has always been bullshit, and they're welcome to wallow forever in their co-dependent relationship.

Splashing headlines all over ESPN saying we are no class when his player headbutted ours. Basically said it was justified. Also said he would not vote for Love for all Big 12. Big of you Bobby. Why don't you state that you are the best coach in basketball like your idiot brother did.

That kid is Jayden Quaintance. He was a 5 star and ranked as the 9th best player coming out of high school. He will be fine but maybe he should have picked a better coach to play for.

NOW Bobby wants to discipline his players. Did he think this would be a good game to do it because they could beat OSU (they didn't) or did he purposely want to lose today to try and get fired before he comes to Tucson? They'd better not fire him before then so we can give him a proper farewell!

Probably due to the AD calling Hurley out:

https://www.si.com/college/arizonastate ... jkh42gdeqs

“I understand tensions are riding high and emotions are very heated in a game like that," Rossini told Burns & Gambo. "But we've gotta maintain sportsmanship. That was a miss, he admitted it, we admitted it on his behalf as well and we’ve tried to do our best to move beyond it and get ready for this weekend.”

Reads like he better make the NCAAs:

"It's an expectation. It's not a goal. It's kind of one of those minimum requirements that we want to have tournament teams certainly in basketball, but in all of our sports," Rossini told Burns and Gambo. "It's my responsibility to look throughout the organization and figure out what are the pieces that we need to tweak and adjust and add to in order to have that kind of success. We're not in this for participation trophies, we're in this to win championships."

Never mentioned calling out UA or Love and the fuck face pathetic losers at 98.7 didn’t either

If he doesn’t turn things around in the next week or so I bet he gets fired before the game. The new asu AD seem no nonsense and if you are gonna fire him anyway it would be smart to fire him before the game to lessen the chance of further embarrassment

Although asu and smart usually don’t go together
