Great News. Big Bill was a key cog in our defensive improvement this year.

He and Chubba together in the middle, I can’t wait to see that.

Local news reported that according to 247 both ASU's recruiting class and transfer class was better than ours.

How in the hell is this possible? Those kids are jumping on a sinking ship.

I would assume it's because they're basically guaranteed to be starters on a P5 team

Lots of available playing time in Scumville.

And they know they only need a year of tape to transfer to a better program.

Don’t believe everything you read or hear. The biggest thing is the number of players you bring in as each count a numeric number towards the rankings. We only brought in 17 HS kids and I think 3 transfers. ASSU is signing probably 40 guys collectively

Scheer tells people that having a good year pays off in the next recruiting class, not the current one.

Someone calculated the average star rating for our class and said it actually went up slightly from last year.

Like azcat49 said, the site rankings are also based on volume. We don't have a ton of playing time to sell, so Fisch and company are being a little pickier and keeping spots open for the portal transfers.

Also, we are keeping our good players and the ones that have entered the portal haven't been big losses.

ASU brought in 14 transfers but 15 guys transferred out.

Trying to tie up some loose ends with our recruiting class...

I thought we were leading for Mikey Matthews but he hasn't signed with anyone. And another recent visitor, DJ Wesolak, hasn't signed, either. Anyone know what's going on with those two?

Aaron Butler decides tomorrow. Think it will be Washington but we've got a chance.

Anybody know anything about CDOs Kayden Luke? Plays running back but should be a great LB. I can't find a list of offers anywhere for him.

I imagine wrestling is in his future. Come to Cal Poly Kayden! Play in the PAC-x as a wrestler.

Would love to have him as a walk on. He'd definitely end up getting a scholarship in the future.

The best linebackers are usually wrestlers. It'd be a shame if any other football program picks him up.

I was about to post that the names I'm interested in hearing are Azzopardi, Butler, and Wilhite. With Wilhite, I don't know how the relationship is after he decommitted from us. Plus, we're currently without a DC.

While everybody was fretting about Fisch to UDub(and who knows, that might happen), I heard the coaches were working the phones hard on Washington recruits who have that 30 day window to get out of their LOI.

Toughest part is they might not know who the DC will be but I like our chances on a few of these guys

Like Prysock said, he committed to Fisch so he's staying with Fisch.

So no surprise in any of those.

Lack of SJSU transfers is troubling though. Although 2 are crystal balled to UA but no commitments.

No surprise at all the bull of that 24 class would follow the coaches that recruited them. Fortunately we have kept a few but I guess we still have to survive the spring portal period.

Not sure how active our current coaches have been going after SJST recruits and current players in the portal. Brennen doesn’t strike me as a sleeve ball. It seems he would tell the kids to give Ken N a chance and if you don’t like what you hear let’s talk.

Now after spring I think it will be balls to the wall across all on college football

USC coach just stopped into one of the High Schools in my small area to visit a 4 star edge rusher (Jared Martin). I live about 4 hours drive from SC and 4 hours from Tucson.

I've heard he's leaning to SC but waiting for an Ohio St offer. I think we need to get this kid on campus.

Whatever, another player who never set foot on campus, not too worried.

We're still in far better shape than I thought We'd be in at this time.

IIRC, this guy (de-committed/hit the portal/whatever) a while ago. It almost amounts to a footnote that he did the expected and followed Fisch to Washington, versus going someplace else. Unless the guy actually looked around a little, it kind of looks like Fisch is spreading the announcements out for maximum impact. (Or so it isn't quite so obvious that he's bulk stealing what may wound up to be like ten players from his previous employer.) In any event, I'm still waiting to see that Brennan isn't just standing pat, other than next year's high school recruiting class.
