Anyone know what the booster situation is for women's basketball right now?
Cole and Jeannie Davis love her. A lot. They also love Miller a lot so there’s that. That’s all I know though.
Same with Stevens from what I read, probably here. Huge fans of Miller and Barnes.
So I imagine their donations to the program are now going to the women's program.
Stevens had a son who was a manager on the Gonzaga team, I am sure he was more then content with the Lloyd hire and probably helped facilitate some of the communication.

gonna quote copy irish's post in this thread so that it never gets lost in the pay raise thread (assuming that thread doesnt get bumped that often) and I think this is an important read and listen(the podcast the story refers to).
Adia is awesome, what she came into certainly wasn't.
Beautiful. And it’s all thanks to Adia. Give her a lifetime contract you cowards.

The PAC 12 network “Our Stories” special on Adia and last years season is a must watch. And a great recruiting tool too!
We are truly blessed to have that Lady running our program.

What's interesting to me is if you follow Adia and WBB on twitter you notice how much the female coaches support each other... specifically the black female coaches. You constantly see them propping each other up and highlighting each other's successes (Dawn Staley just posted about Adia and our amazing crowd last night) I find it so refreshing and awesome and something male coaches would never do.
Just an observation.

It’s really not that surprising. They not only want to grow their sport but also show that women can coach as good as if not better than men.

I learned today Coach Barnes is still the all-time leader in blocked shots in a high school career with 1,112.
Only girl with more than 1000 blocks. 179 more than second place. 318 more than Brittney Greiner.
(Also interesting - Angelo Chol is still the HS season record holder for boys with 337)
What Adia is doing this year is really under appreciated. She lost the most dominant player in Arizona WBB history and has followed that up with an even better regular season.
Adia is a Warlock

AZCatGirl posted the Women’s Basketball tweet highlighting this, but I like it that Adia is shouting herself out too.
Anyone have any info on Lauren Ware’s current injury? She’s in street clothes on the bench with a big knee brace, for tonight’s exhibition. At least she doesn’t have crutches.

I think I read that she will be out the first part of the season, but should be back for conference games.

Thanks guys. I also heard it’s been said she bumped knees with a teammate and has swelling in her knee. The type of brace she was wearing definitely had me worried.
By the way Coach McDonald was on the bench last night.

I'm confused. Is Aria still playing in the WNBA? I thought she was playing pretty good

WNBA is season is very short (and they don't make much)- many play oversees in offseason- Arri chose to coach!
