I really hope Cloney is not out for the year.

The hits keep on coming, Oregon runner spiked Cesar Salazar in a play at the plate and Cesar is out of the game. Looks like a right arm injury of some sort.

Oregon up 6-4 in the top of the 9th, for the love of me I don't know why Jay keeps trying to make Rivas a pitcher, it's just not working.

He's pitching tonight. Hasn't given up a run through two innings.

2-0 Cats bottom of the second

Glad to see Cloney was able to pitch, he is the one guy they can't afford to lose.

Great night at the yard. First time seeing a bat cat game at Hi Corbett. Just beautiful views, sight lines were great and the park was immaculate.

Cloney looked good and while Ming once again struggled with his control we were gifted enough runs to get the victory. AZ baseball is the hidden gem of our AD. A night out at the yard is an absolute must. Will be making another trip soon

Also did he forget to mention they sell beer? Yes, beer.

Except at post-season tournament games - the time I went. :(

No beer at ncaa sponsored tourney games. Cats up 8-1 early. Quintana with a 2 run dinger. Cats need this series to keep rolling toward a top 8 national seed

Cats pound out 23 hits and win 18-4 to move to 9-6 in the conference. While all the teams are tough (all under 100 in RPI) we really only have UDub left of the probable top teams and we have them at home.

Was hoping to be at 10-5 now to be on pace to go 20-10 which I think would allow us to be a top 8 national seed. That was a really good series win. Oregon is tough and will win a couple of game in the tourney.

Next up Utah and we need to sweep those bastards as payback for last year

Very big and important series win. You gotta love when our bats are just killing it like that. Rivas was 5/5 and Matejevic 4/5. Oregon hadn't given up more than 13 hits in a game all season and we got 23 on them.

We have a road trip @Stanford after the Utah series and Furd is #33 in RPI. They're also ranked and are no joke, so that will be a tough one.

Any idea why we are on Thursday thru Saturday schedule again? Is Sunday a religious holiday?

Great to see the cats as a #4 national seed. I just want a top 8 seed

About an hour until first pitch. Looks like we are holding off Cloney until tomorrow and starting Lebault. Need all 3 this weekend but tonight is going to be tough as they gave a really good #1:

Cats down 3-1 after the Ute's scored 2 in the top of the third. Utah has a good #1 pitcher but hopefully the second and third time through the lineup we can Get to him

Edit: second time up Stevenson crushed one for a roundtripper. Now 3-2

5 straight losses to the Ute's. Kinneberg taking it personally that GB passed him up on the job hunt

F ing lost to furd 3-2 wasting a nice effort from Ming. Just sick not having our #1 two weeks in a row after we put ourselves in a great position to host both rounds of the regionals. Just feels like we are so freaking snake bit with injuries between last year's finals with Bannister and this year in the last 2 series. 0-4 in our last 4 conference games

Yeah 5 straight conference losses, currently 6th in the standings and after this weekend we'll probably barley be ranked. A couple more losses and a regional is gone

Stanford up 3-0 in the 5th. Arizona got both its first two batters on base in consecutive innings and managed to fuck it up in spectacular ways both times. Very impressive.

List 3-1. Very disappointing that we are throwing away a promising start. Have ASSU, UDUB and a hot California team
Left in conference. I think we have to find a way to go 7-2 to get in now

Agreed. Hopefully with Cloney out it forced guys to step up(like both Ming and Deason did). Who closes from both sides though?
