For the 1st time this year I don't believe we can win the next game (UCLA).

This team is progressively getting worse. The guards, especially, have a serious confidence issue.

Boy, I remember way back on...when was it...yesterday, when we were talking about winning this one and losing on Saturday.

This season is fast approaching the Ayton season for most disappointing of Miller’s AZ tenure. Just an absolute shit show.

Seems like the team has quit on him.

First 8 min of the 2nd half were so sad to see

Oregon will

The one thing we can be sure of is ASU continuing to fall short in basketball. They are the luckiest major team in NCAA, their luck will run out

This team is legitimately at risk to miss the tourney, after two losses this week. Provided they win two games next week, but then lose in the first Pac tourney game, we are a bubble team.

Isn’t it fun, too, that UCLA has flipped the switch and turned into a contender in Cronin’s first year? These aren’t even his players. He’s coaching circles around Miller. It’s also fun being behind ASU in the standings. This season is just a dream come true.

This is the first time this year I am expecting a loss next game.
But no Josh green? If we win I will be really surprised.

Also I feel like we are losing in the first round . On the bright side, the last time I actually thought we were gonna lose in the 1st round was an 11 loss team in 97.
Can't believe we were a 4 seed.

If it weren’t for this year’s weak draft class, I would think 2 of our freshmen starters would return. But that’s not the case and it’s possible we lose all 3 of them unfortunately
But Indiana, how many 5-stars does Gonzaga currently have? How about San Diego State? How about Baylor? How about Dayton? Florida State? How many did UVA have last year?

I'm not saying that we should just discontinue our practice of recruiting 5-star players. I *am* saying that many teams reach the top 5 without a single one of these players.
5 stars may still be our best option when you consider the fact that our coach does not develop players and makes life so miserable that no one wants to stay for a second longer than they have to. In reality most of those recent 5 stars tune out Miller and are simply using our national brand as a spring board to the NBA. You can make the claim that this is college basketball these days but look at other top programs out there and their retention of players compared to ours, it is night and day.

Do the players want to run through a wall for coach?

The answer to that should tell the boosters what decisions need to be made.

Come to Oregon and compete for a final four, look at that banner or go to Arizona and be micromanaged with no appreciable outcome?

You choose...

Feel like I've been really, really patient with Sean. He's earned it. But this is the first year where the product on the floor is just an obvious failure. I mean, we're not in dead-last, but our above average record probably belies this team's reality. The best sign for a team is when their best wins are deep in the season, the worst losses early in the season. It's the exact opposite with us.

So yeah, I'm done. I wish Sean well and want him to land on his feet somewhere and get other opportunities. But it's time for an amicable separation. There's no point in dragging this out further, even given the financial mess our athletics department has before it. We need to start turning this thing around.

Ask yourself: which is more exciting to you, Miller returning as coach or a new coach that isn't a sexy name?

A question for anyone with "inside" access/information.

Is there any evidence of internal dissension among the players?

Any insight or observations, confirming or dis-confirming, would be greatly appreciated....

No. The players are not responding to him, clearly. Each week there's less and less evidence of coaching/teaching. It's bad.

I'm not asking about issues between players and coach - I'm asking about conflict BETWEEN players....

You say "...less and less evidence of coaching/teaching"; I'm seeing "less and less evidence of enthusiasm/learning" - and. I'm still trying to discern how much of that is attributable to the coaching staff, and how much to unresponsive players. However, I've already concluded the latter regarding Mannion.... Green and Nnaji look to me to be always hard-working, but aren't getting the looks they should under a well-run offense.

Not an insider, but recall with prior players both Doutrive and Trier were really unliked by the other players.

Just from appearances, it looks like Gettings is not very popular either. Last week after he made a free throw, no one on the line would slap his hand, they just looked away when Stone went to them. Only person that did was Mannion, after he saw what happened.

If I remember correctly, under Olson existing players had the right to vote against a recruit. If anybody didn't like him Olson wouldn't offer.

I’m right there Beach. I’ve been a supporter but I’m ready to move on. I know realistically though it won’t happen until at least after next year. Hopefully we see what kind of NOA we get in the next year (likely a slap on wrist like OSU and schools w same proof of misconduct) and then it will make it easier to hire a new well known coach (Drew, beilein, etc) and we part ways.

Unless we make a miraculous run this year next year has to be a Miller hot seat year. It’s past time and hopefully the big boosters see it within the next year.

It’s crazy: the prospect of having Miller’s seat warm up is more exciting than this year’s tourney.

I’m just tired of watching the same movie. The first half of Miller’s time here had high highs and moderate lows. More recently it’s been “loaded” teams that don’t get better over the course of the season and then get steamrolled in the tourney.

AZ hoops can and should be better than this.

We've had success and good times under Miller. It's just stagnated and isn't going anywhere now. We aren't awful, it's just that we're now like the #4 team in the west that only hopes for 2nd place conference finishes and maybe sweet 16s if we're lucky. That's not what I expect for our program. It is just time to hit the reset and try something new.
