Channing, a franchise player?
Do you know the definition of "Franchise player", catgrad?

I am with you on everything but Damon. I love Mighty Mouse, but his skills do not translate into speaking in front of the camera.
If we want to look far out into the future, Gordon and Solomon would be naturals... Ashley, too - if he couod gain some more name recognition playing the game. BAsh is soft-spoken, but articulate as can be.

Rondae would be a pretty damn entertaining color guy... Or in TNT at the half
Could kind of get the sense who his favorite is. Interesting he said it is going the distance and he is going to probably wait to see who declares when he would start and star for any team in the country.

MSU fans will interpret that as confirmation of him wanting to see their roster availability first.

Playing for Coach Miller, team USA did that give them an edge?
Yeah it definitely does...
I love the way he coached me
He really didn't once try to recruit me
I really respect him for that.
Hard to imagine LM starting over RS, unless LM is way better than I realize.

RS gonna need time to shake off that rust and build confidence in that knee back up. As time progresses, we will see. We will also see how well LM and RS defend too

My hope for Ray (if he doesn't die) would be essentially what we saw from Dillon Brooks the other day. He's got the size and skill set to be a matchup nightmare for 4's if he can hold his own defensively

Even without JJ, this lineup looks solid (provided no one leaves early):
KA
AT
RS
LM
DR
Add JJ to the mix, and we switch from being a top 25 team to a top 5 team.

This. I don't see why a natural 3 coming off a long period of inactivity would immediately start at the 4. Let him have time and the rotation will shake its way out.
What's interesting is that LM isn't ranked by US recruiting sites (Rivals, ESPN, etc.). If he were, I don't know how highly he'd be ranked. But if he's as good as CSM and others are saying, he'd probably be ranked at least in the top 20, if not higher, which would mean our *current* recruiting class (sans JJ) is already in the top 10.

Scout has Lauri as a 5 star prospect, which pretty much means he's a top 25 player in the class.

He's more concerned with who he will be playing with. If he's going to play college ball he wants to win.

I hadn't seen Scout. Thanks. So we're looking at 3 top 25 recruits, plus whatever else CSM has up his sleeve.

Players who have played only in Europe generally do not get ranked. Jakob Poetyl (spell check pelase) is a good example of a very highly regarded kid who did not get ranked vs US prospects.

Yep, but they will still give them an arbitrary star ranking based on their skill level.
There is JJ and everyone else, and everyone else is waay worse than JJ.

Lol so Kansas magically leapfrogged both Arizona and MSU because Arizona is now the apparent favorite to land Alkins, a guy who Jackson can play along side with, ok...

Probably pure speculation that Arizona is worried about not getting JJ, so that is why they are after Alkins

If Josh cares about my feelings, he'll commit to Arizona right now so I can stop worrying.

Probably should post Myers post that he hasn't changed his pick on Jackson so he seems to think we land both Rawle and JJ

One person's unjustified bullshit is another person's "content."
And if they can sell that bullshit...I mean "content", more power to em.

With both JJ and Rawle both these guys can realistically share the immense benefit of a probable FF and very possible NC. It's hard to see any way getting Rawle, if we do, can do anything but benefit JJ; and the special national visibility would translate to more $s later in the League for both.
But hey, who cares about the future bucks potential?
I hope we fans don't underestimate Rawle. Unless my eyes are suddenly failing I see him as near-Julius Randle copy potential. And the skillset seems to be nearly in place already. Would any of you guys care to try to cover him once he hits a lane?

If Alkins ends up here I would perceive it to be more of a sign that Trier is leaving that that JJ isn't coming.
BTW... Lauri, Kobi, Rawle, and Josh would be (on paper) the best recruiting class in school history, and I am not sure that's even debatable.

That analysis makes much more sense than 'Well with that JJ won't want to go there.'

Four 5* I would guess is the best class ever and the best class there will ever be.

Meant nothing then and means even less now. He'll choose a college first, but then will choose between that college and China.
