They are getting a ton of run on the new "classic rock" station here in town, which I love by the way.

Classic-ish heavy rock/early light metal is how I'd describe them

Yeah they're classic heavy rock. Early proto metal too like I said. But they fall under the umbrella.

80's Metallica is metal. 90's Metallica is hard rock.

He's musically superior, and his lyrics are socially, politically, religiously significant.

Symphony Of Destruction feels a lot like the current political rise for a certain real estate and media mogul.

Plus, I'd rather my hard rock/metal acts not make googly eyes for the camera. Metallica have whored themselves out for 2 decades now.

Heavy metal sucks. It's for listeners who may grow old but never evolve beyond the taste of 14 year-old white boys. But to each is own, so keep enjoying it.

Never really liked any big hair bands, but my least popular genre of music has to be modern country. The artists all look the same and sound the same.

I think you're confusing 80s hair bands with metal. There are dozens and dozens of styles of metal. It isn't all Poison and Cinderella and Motley Crue.

That's all part of metal. Those groups are hard rock and early metal. But in the 30 years since then metal had spread out into dozens of genres. Death metal, black metal, hardcore, post hardcore, symphonic metal, folk metal, Scandinavian Viking metal, instrumental metal, grindcore, metalcore, alt metal, nu metal...

You have to go to the desktop version, and grab the embed code and then post it in the code wrap.

If you read the book, you might not feel the same. Think it's a novelette, pretty short.

I prefer:
The Sandlot
Bad News Bears
Bang the Drum Slowly
Field of Dreams
Bull Durham

I think I have watched The Sandlot the most of all of those, and could watch it again tomorrow. More of a coming of age movie I think, where baseball is the main focus.

Despite the changeup ;) it's still a much better baseball movie than The Rookie.

But the best baseball movie is Field Of Dreams. It's not even really debatable. You might be able to argue boxing, maybe even basketball (if you're counting documentaries, Hoop Dreams is damn good). But baseball has a top-3 that can't really be touched. Especially not by any Disney PG suck all the humanity out of life True Story.

Kevin Costner is unwatchable. In anything.

I'm with Merk. The Sandlot is easily my favorite baseball movie of all time. It's one of those, like Pulp Fiction, A River Runs Through It or The Shawshank Redemption, that I would stop what I'm doing to watch from any point in the movie.

The Bad News Bears is a classic too.
