First-time poster, long-time thread reader.
Just came in to ask, What the hell has happened to the Superbabes since the '07 run?
Seems like nothing's been the same since the Nancy Evans scandal. Should Candrea delegate more, or has parity just increased that much? I don't get it.

Cats are hosting They are the #12 seed and play St. John's on Friday. New Mexico State and Minnesota are also in the regional. If the Cats win this regional, they most likely go to LSU.

Pitching, pitching, pitching.
The pitching recruits just haven't panned out. Some just not Arizona good, some injuries (Fowler), one tragic suicide. Some of the coaching suspect.
It's all about having that ace pitcher and we haven't really had one since they started calling the illegal pitches on Kenzie at the CWS her freshman year.

The game has also changed. It's definitely a more offensive game. You rarely see a final score of 1-0 anymore. There are only 4 pitchers this year in college softball that have an ERA under 1.00. I am looking forward to watching Taylor McQuillin. What I like about her is that she is a lefty. Candrea has not had a lefty starter since Wendy Allen. I also think with the addition of Danielle O'Toole, we could be seeing a pitcher or two transferring.

Minnesota will win this regional. Easily. They are a very good team with pitching. I'm a bit surprised we host. Must be related to facilities?

Slept right through the game ... damn meds.
From what I'm reading/hearing though, sounds like we'll need to play a hell of a lot better tomorrow if we want to beat minnesota.

The Cats had a number of chances to score early but St. John's was able to get a couple of double plays or ground outs to prevent the UofA from scoring. Today is going to be a tough game.

ASU takes down LSU and it makes UA playing a home regional more likely, for LSU is now in the losers bracket. The chances for the Cats to make the College World Series is now at better odds. They just need to take care of business at home. If the scummies can pull it out the Cats will host a home super regional.

Five Pac-12 schools are in their regional finals. Cal is currently losing in their semi final and I believe Oregon has advanced to the super regional already.

You are correct Greg. Cal lost that game they were losing, so they're gone now.
As for us, we face Minnesota again today. Just gotta win one more and we're on to the Super

If the NCAA Women's Softball bracket is correct I believe there are 6 Pac 12 teams playing in the regional finals. UA, ASU, UCLA, Oregon, Washington, and Utah.

You're welcome. Same link should work for today's game(s) too.
As for our possible opponent, lsu beat asu in their first game today. so now that regional is down to 1 game, winner advances between lsu and asu.

Nebraska almost took care of LSU for us yesterday. Lost 3-2 in extra inning.
