Buffalo should give us a good game. I said before in another thread, of all the mid majors, Buffalo was the one I didn't want.Beachcat97 wrote:Fwiw, Buffalo lost to Cuse this year. Also, lost by 16 to Texas A&M.Irish27 wrote:Let's take it one game at a time. Bring on Buffalo!

Could've had an easier draw, but there are some positives. Get down to the bacon early vs Kentucky: no fucking around. Hit another packline team in Virginia. Enter the situation to advance to new territory in the Miller era with a victory over Virginia at our backs.Frybry02 wrote:At this point, fuck it.
You have to beat good teams to get to the final 4 and win the championship. If this team can't beat Buffalo, Kentucky, Virginia, cincy/Tenn, then don't even get on the plane.
BTFD! I want Virginia, just disappointed it may happen in the S16.
Love Boise! Sneak some Guido's pizza into the game for me!BearDown89 wrote:Holy Shit! The Cats are coming to Boise in a few days! Just came in from being out all day.
not to me, if Arizona can beat Buffalo and survive Kentucky then I love their hopes of finally making the Final Four for the first time under Sean Miller.Alieberman wrote:

97, you say this like there will be other Final Fours with Miller. Good look!97cats wrote:not to me, if Arizona can beat Buffalo and survive Kentucky then I love their hopes of finally making the Final Four for the first time under Sean Miller.Alieberman wrote:

Have they played zone at any time this season?SCCats wrote:We're basically going to (probably? most likely?) get man to man from both Kentucky and Virginia, yes?
How often have the Cats played a man-to-man defense? It seems like everyone zones against us now, and we have had so much practice against the zone we've mastered it.SCCats wrote:We're basically going to (probably? most likely?) get man to man from both Kentucky and Virginia, yes?
I haven't watched either a ton, but my understanding (ok it's more of a guess) was neither played much if any zone. Pack line from Virginia and I can't imagine Cal plays much if any zone with his highly rated, young athletes at Kentucky. But if anyone knows them well I'd be interested in hearing from them.dovecanyoncat wrote:Have they played zone at any time this season?SCCats wrote:We're basically going to (probably? most likely?) get man to man from both Kentucky and Virginia, yes?
post of the decadeBeefcurtainsandwich wrote:We fucked up our season a bit early.
Then we had some bad fucking luck along the way (thanks espn).
Then the NCAA fucked us a bit with this seeding (but not as bad as Virginia got fucked), and Trier's suspension.
But when the tourney games start and the Cats are on the floor, we will be the ones doing the fucking.
For all the teams in our way.... prepare your diddly-holes.

So we're gonna get fast answers. Beat Kentucky in the second game and the world is our oyster. Ask Tony Bennett if he thinks Arizona is underseeded and whether he thinks Sean Miller will have a good grasp of packline vs packline.NYCat wrote:Virginia is straight packline. Cincy is straight man, Tennessee pressing defense/man defense although they've some zone. Cal plays man but might bust out the zone.
Either way, if Arizona makes a run they're going to face top tier defenses. Kentucky is on a hot streak and getting better.

that is 100% a fair comment - further, ive already looked at potential regional possibilities and the only option is Final Four, and that might be a long shot.Alieberman wrote:At least by not playing anywhere near LA, '97Cats won't be at the games to jinx us
I'll make a deal with you since I believe in jinxes: if you stay away from the Alamodome so will I, and I live right across the motherfucking street. Better that we win than I see it in person. I'm pathetic, I know, but I want this.97cats wrote:that is 100% a fair comment - further, ive already looked at potential regional possibilities and the only option is Final Four, and that might be a long shot.Alieberman wrote:At least by not playing anywhere near LA, '97Cats won't be at the games to jinx us

i cant say i wont go to the Final Four, but i 100% wont be in Boise or in Atlanta -- that's all i can give you right now.dovecanyoncat wrote:

No, because I think Virginia is a talented team that rarely has an off night and is very good at their style of play.Alieberman wrote:I needed to do my venting.

Lol, another good one Irish...probably should wait a bit for the ‘venting storm’ to pass before you post your awesome gifs. Bear Down, you rock!IrishAzCat wrote:

Next year the starters on Kentucky's team would not be one of the 5 worst nba teams. They are getting better but still inconsistent and make mistakes.

That probably would've been good description of the 14/15 wear down teams. UVA is a boa constrictorCatapult

Zona has more talent, but UVA has a better coach. They are also like a boa constrictor, squeezing you to death

This is my perception. They really don't know much about Arizona, or probably west coast basketball in general.prh wrote:I thought Kentucky had smart fans....most of those posts sound like the stereotypical SEC knuckleheads.azgreg wrote:https://kentucky.forums.rivals.com/thre ... na.260990/

Well in an effort at transparency, I don’t really follow fringe top 25 teams so I don’t know much about them either...Catintheheat wrote:This is my perception.
