Taylor McQuillin is just really bad in relief appearances and we had the bases jacked twice and came away empty both times. This team can't score unless they hit homers and has gotten absolutely nothing out of its 6-9 hitters in 5 games. It doesn't look like this will be the team to get us back to OKC. If this team ain't it it makes you wonder if Candrea will ever get back at this point.
Wow, it's only the first weekend. There is no way today's line-up will be the line-up when conference play begins. Looking forward to watching this team as I believe they can make it to Oklahoma City.
Ehhh it's the same damn story from last year. Same strengths, same weaknesses. I doubt it.

If candrea doesn’t get this team back this year, he really needs to step down and retire. We can never fire him but there is no reason Arizona should ever go this long without making it to OKC with all the structural advantages we have as a program

My company does a ton of construction and always amazed at how much work gets done last month of a job as things come together. Usually comes together very quickly and always surprises me

Just took a peek at the webcam. Looks like my timeline wasn't far off. Sure, the field is playable, and the metal seating seems to be in place, but there is still a ways to go before she is finished.

You create a deadline and shit always seems to get done in the construction biz. There's still some bells and whistles to put in for the stadium, but yeah it's definitely more than usable for the first home weekend.

Totally true, we agree on this! I never get nervous as I am always amazed at my contractors ability to finish on time...now on budget that’s a different story

We can not pay salaries like the mid west and east coast for sure but Candrea is still the luckiest coach at the U of A because he has the biggest structural advantage of all programs
USC does not play softball
And Southern California still is home to the best softball talent in the country.
USC could literaly start a softball program and be top 10 program almost immediately
That is such a massive advantage for our program
Couple this with our great softball weather, unreal fan support, and now top notch facilities and there is no reason we should not be consistently making OKC
I feel U of A softball is the exact opposite of U of A football. You have so many things working for us not against us.
Again we can never fire candrea but at some point I think he needs to think about his legacy and hang them up

Went to check out the stadium Have to tell you it is better than what I expected. They even have an elevator. Concession stand is perfect. The A store is still being built.

I don't know a lot about other softball teams, but shouldn't we have won this game? Especially at home?
I was hoping softball season would be a nice break from the bleak state of the basketball program, but I have a bad feeling about this season already.

Their loss to Florida was more than excusable. Losing to NC State (losing record last season) and then USF at home (they beat them in Tampa just a weekend ago) is pretty bad.
I'm happy to see Schuld finally get a shot against UIC, she needs bigger opportunities though.

This team is not a good fielding team. Harper makes too many errors. Candrea will need to do something.

Candrea played Davis at shortstop the last two games while Harper was the designated player. Crazy stat, Rylee Pierce finally got her first hit as a Wildcat. She was 0 for 17 before hitting a double in today's win over Cal State Fullerton.

A full complement of pitchers, some dominating - McQuillin, Denham, Foreman, Schuld, Bowen, and now Snyder. WOW!

We were up 4-0, JMU came back to lead 5-4, we forced extras, and here we go. Errors are really killing both softball and baseball.

Cats traveled to Las Cruces and won both games of a doubleheader against New Mexico State. They won game one 11-3 and game two by a score of 11-1.
