Wasn't it Purdue that absolutely bullied us off the court back during Lute's years. Maybe the Buddinger team?

Always hated them since.

That first time #1 ranking sure didn’t last long.
Sorry Boilermaker fans.

well we're #11 and today #10 and 12 lost and either #9 or 14 is going to lose between Houston and Alabama later, and a road win in the big 10 is a good win...so yeah there really isn't much reason to rank us below like #5 or 6 honestly. Possibly as high as like #3.

Baylor currently playing Villanova at home on ABC. They're really impressive defensively, held Nova to 9 pts for the first 17 plus minutes.
Then Gillespie hit two 3s late to get them to 15 at the half. Kind of a ugly defensive battle, Akinjo has taken some questionable shots.

Baylor scored less than 60?!?!
Nova held to 36!?!?!
Baylor would have to score more than 57 to win a game against us.

I can't be the only who thinks we're now better off without Akinjo. He's a ball dominant guard. One of the defining traits of this AZ team is its unselfishness and high number of assists. We don't need a chucker.

I haven't even thought about Akinjo until the first half of the Illini game, esp with Aikens out and Terry getting 2 fouls in the first 9 seconds. But after Kriisa's 2nd half awakening he completely slipped my mind again.

Till they fix their E. Bates problem they are limited. Was 1-6 tonight and out of control a big portion. Don't think they want to sit the number 1 recruit but they took the lead when he was sitting.

Creighton loses a road game to the ShitShovels by 1 point, and then goes home and hammers Nova by 20.

Baylor is for real. That's as good a road win as we've seen this season.
Still sort of feel like we're better off without Akinjo, but my god, he's arguably the MVP on the #1 team in the country. Hard to believe we're where we are *in spite* of losing him.
