Good stuff Choo. Are we better than last year do you think. It appears to me we are deeper and should be better

Ask me when I see how the pitching shapes up. That'll dictate every thing. Bats don't concern me in the slightest.

Excited to get the season started
TV Coverage

Lev mentioned that they put out the start times for the games in Scottsdale to start the season. So the start times for the season are now pretty set, even if you have to go to other people's websites to get them. We have 16 games on TV, supposedly starting with our game in Scottsdale on MLB-TV. What's interesting is that of our 15 televised conference games, only 3 are at Hi Corbett, and those are from the last series of the regular season with USC. Also, of those 15 televised games, only 8 are on the full Pac-12 network, and none of those are from Hi Corbett. I was suspicious that we were being bumped in favor of ASU, but that doesn't appear to be the case. I think it's more that they're pretty much evenly splitting up the coverage with softball. Our softball team gets 17 televised conference games, 6 from Hillenbrand. 9 of the televised games are on the full Pac-12 network, and 3 of those are from Hillenbrand. Can't really complain about the division of games between baseball and softball, but I wonder how people would feel if they mostly showed our basketball teams on the road "because people get tired of watching Arizona win big at home all the time."

Being in this conference is doing Arizona absolutely no favors in any sport.

We have had some of the best looking uniforms in college baseball for a long time. These are just fantastic, the red numbers against the logo is just sweet. Had the pinstripes as well and we are set

Getting started this Friday up in Scottsdale with #2 Tennessee. Looks like Nichols, Susac and a Pima transfer, Brandon Zastrow will be our weekend pitchers.
The starting lineup looks like this according to the media info from the team:
C. Splaine
1B. Romero
2B. Caulfield
3B. Bullard
SS. McLaughry
LF Davis
CF Bingham
RF. Corona
DH. White
Some new names there and will be excited to see how they do this year. The Tennessee guy supposedly throws 100+ and is considered a first round draft pick so Friday should be very exciting

I’d expect those 9 position players to be the core along with Casagrande, Laliberte, and Jack Grant rotating in here and there. Tons of talented freshmen too, but their impact won’t come until next year.

That couldn't have gone any better. It was supposed to be about presumed #1 draft choice Chase Dollenger being un-hittable and #2 Tennessee overpowering Arizona. Instead, we were notably unimpressed, touched him for a Bullard birthday homer, and it was The Arizona Wildcats Show. I glanced at the Knoxville newspaper this morning, and if you were expecting to see any credit given to Arizona...you lose!

I went to the game and we were flawless. Our pitchers were painting the corners. We made one error but Bullard’s play in the eighth was clutch. We simply outplayed them

Home opener tonight Vs West Virginia. Last year we were only 21-10 at home which was one of our worst home record in the last decade. We need to own our home field.
I saw a tweet from Chase Davis pops and te says he and Chase think this team is better than the one that went to Omaha a couple years ago

Bats finally got going and we pounded 20 hits and scored 15 runs in a win. This team should be a better hitting team than they have shown. Hopefully they get going. 4 very winnable games this week before a tough 4 game stretch next week

Cats improve to 2-0 in conference with a 7-5 win over Cal. Zastro moved up to our #2 as Susac had a sore arm. Kiki Romero stayed hot and drove in a run in his first at bat which gave him 5 straight hits over two games
