No doubt USC and probably AZ exceeded expectations. UDub has to be the most overrated program in america. They looked terrible.

Oregon St had its typical slow start while Oregon and ASSU played there annual nobody game.

UCLA really was disappointing on offense. Not sure what happened there. Cal got a nice win as did Utah. Ford warmed up for USC this week in what should be a great game.

Colorado keeps providing the question of why we let them in while Wazzu gags up another game stealing defeat from the jaws of a victory

I think Ted Miller had a tweet that wrapped it up pretty well but it can't find it, went something like:

Exceeded expectations: USC, Arizona, Cal
Met expectations: ASU, Utah, Stanford, Oregon
Disappointed: UCLA,UW,WSU,CU,OSU

USC was definitely eye-opening, I figured they would have a hangover from all the B.s.this past week. Obviously not so much.
Obviously you have to add UW to the "Below" line.

Check out his timeline for an interesting back and forth with an ASU troll arguing that Anu's performance wasn't impressive.

Neither of these teams is impressing/scaring me. Big #12 on Nevada is concerning but he appears to be like Owusu on Stanford....looks the part but minimal actual impact.

WSU making the PAC look bad by looking like shit vs. a MW team that's likely going to be in the bottom half of the MW.

...Aaaand I feel the same way after the game as I did when I posted this after Nevada went up 14-0 4 minutes into the second quarter. Not impressed.

Utah looking very solid against Fresno State, up 17-0 in the 1st quarter. The UA is in danger of falling behind everyone but Colorado in the PAC12 south.

One quarter against Fresno by Utah automatically makes them better than Arizona?

So does this USC/Furd game feel more like...

A. A heavyweight battle between two very talented legit top ten teams, or...

B. A somewhat sloppy game between two 15-25th ranked teams?

I don't want to say quite yet the South is wide open (really much might depend on whether USC gets the W or L in this game), but with UCLA and USC both looking more like 15+ in the nation teams than legit top 10 in the nation teams it would seem there is at least a little bit of a window.

Furd just got jobbed on a chop block call.

The lineman hadn't engaged that blitzer before the running back had dove at him to block him.

wiped a TD off the board. Way to go pac12 refs.

B.

Furd should be winning by 20+ though. Just can't punch it in.

VERY hard to do power rankings this early in the season. Mine:

Oregon
Stanford
USC
UCLA
asu
Utah
Cal
OSU
UA
Udub
WSU
Colorado

I reserve the right to change this if SC scores here in a minute or if Oregon implodes against MSU!

52 is a lot to give up to anyone.

Giving up 52 to an FCS team should make a head coach consider shaking up his staff.

Don't look now but its now asu 29 NM 21...........if the Lobos hadn't coughed up a couple of gift fumbles they would be winning this game. The scum run defense is looking mighty suspect at the moment.
