They can’t schedule KU v Arizona H&A every season because, even if KU/Self would go for that, none of the other ADs would.

When KU comes to town it is a financial boondoggle for everyone, including anyone who is sold out every game every season. It also means games on ESPN or Fox, as opposed to streaming on ESPN+, on account of KU’s panache, which is good for everyone. All of that helps recruiting some as well.

We Arizona fans are going to have to learn some lessons, for the next 3 or so seasons at a minimum.

We are not getting H&A with Kansas. The Tournament is going to be in Kansas City. The Cats are going to lose more games and that especially will be something to grapple with for the Arizona season ticket holders. Lloyd is almost assuredly going to have to change his MO’s (already has started if you’ve been paying attention). You’re going to have to subscribe to ESPN+ if you want to watch every Arizona B12 game. For those that go secondary market for tickets in McKale, those are going to be harder to come by and more expensive (because B12 teams’ fans are going to travel moreso than P12 teams’ fans did, especially the first few seasons).

And probably several more things that haven’t occurred to me yet.
