Looks like most of the seeding is done. Those 2 games, Cal vs ASSU which should decide the 8 seed and the other is if Utah can hold on to #2

Very entertaining game last night in Palo Alto. Dwayne Benjamin played out of his mind. And it's refreshing to see a team fearlessly shot - IMO the Ducks are the best open floor shooting team in the Pac 12. At this point Oregon is beyond the bubble and working towards better seeding. We are one of their only two losses in their last twelve games.

I can't imagine Utah losing to either Wash schools.

So a likely OU- UU meeting in the tourney. Who wins the neutral floor rematch?

Walton/Pasch announcing SC-UCLA on now.

Pasch: "If UCLA wins they set themselves up for a four seed in Vegas next week. Which will earn them a Bye. Some say that's a bad thing."
Walton: "How is that a ba-ad thing?"
Pasch: "Well, hear me out. If you don't qualify for a Bye you get an extra game to win in the lower round. That beefs up your resume when the committee looks at total number of wins."
Walton: "That's poor reasoning because the committee looks at how good you are, and really, how good are you if you couldn't earn a bye? How many teams who don't earn a bye are getting past the committee?"

27-17 UCLA

Well he probably should. I thought Oregon would finish like 10th in the league this year.

He only deserves it if you ignore the fact that the whole roster turnover thing is his fault because he never bothered to recruit multi-year players, and if you ignore the fact that he 1) either lied or was willfully ignorant about the circumstances that led to Austin's dismissal from Providence, 2) lied about knowing his players had been accused of sexual misconduct and continued to play them, including in the Pac-12 and NCAA tournament, and 3) dismissed his players only after he would not have received APR penalties, and got a bonus for doing so. Why does he get credit for managing an unstable roster whose instability was solely his fault, and for lying in doing so?

SHB has been on a twitter rant, along with me. Any respect I had for Altman as a coach, a man or a father went right out the window when he protected rapists on his team so he could advance and get more coin.

Coaches are supposed to teach. WTF is that teaching?

I too found SHBs Altman tweets useful. Just from a basketball perspective Altman has had a COTY type of season, but, as SHBs twitter has taught me, he's an absolute disaster off court.

To be fair to Altman, Alford's practically as guilty--as IMHO Enfield, Cuonzo, Boyle, Kent, Sendek and probably Dawkins would be if they felt their leading scorer's eligibility was threatened.

It's these guys' priorities, and it's not right, but they're no worse than coaches like Dykes, Graham, Mora, Sarkisian or Leach under the circumstances.

It's hard to believe he's a Wooden finalist. He just can't handle the pressure at the end of close games at all.

Maybe Cal will be upset enough to beat ASU on Saturday.
