So why is this now coming out? Fodder to go along with yesterday's news?UofAlum05 wrote: Thu Jun 17, 2021 8:07 am Prentice Gill
He worked for Oregon Football during their loss to ASU in 2019. He took a job with ASU 2 weeks after the game.
There are accusations that he gave ASU coaches the Oregon game plan and acted as a secret agent inside Oregon for ASU. Wow! This just gets better and better.
Because it’s ASSU’s time to get fucked in the sphincter!CatsbyAZ wrote: Thu Jun 17, 2021 9:35 amSo why is this now coming out? Fodder to go along with yesterday's news?UofAlum05 wrote: Thu Jun 17, 2021 8:07 am Prentice Gill

Made a slight tweak. Not sure there is a thing as an average ASSU fan.Chicat wrote: Thu Jun 17, 2021 1:48 pm What’s the below average ASSU fan saying today? That Covid is a hoax and Herm was just proving that by having recruits visit the campus and his AHC raw dog their moms?![]()

They are probably doing what they always do - complete and utter denial.
The fact that ESPN pundits haven’t called for Herm’s immediate firing like they did with Sean Miller shows just where their biases lie.
They weren’t really paying for the recruits. It was to get a stable of MILF’s for a Vegas trip.
The media needs to keep the pressure on them. ESPN won’t, and I doubt local entities will for any more than a few more days, but I’m hopeful Yahoo and The Athletic and SI keep talking about it and pressing Herm and Anderson to answer questions.dmjcat wrote: Fri Jun 18, 2021 7:44 am It appears that asu is going to sweep this under the rug in an attempt to avoid any negative impact to the upcoming season.

I was always skeptical of Herm’s pious integrity, mainly because he was always talking about it.azcat49 wrote: Fri Jun 18, 2021 8:53 am This was Anderson’s baby so I hope he gets blowed up as well. Those guys, all of them, seem so smug.
I will say that I am very disappointed in Herm Edwards. I really thought he had much higher moral standards. He let his competitive emotions get the better of him and he knew what was going on
anytime anyone tells you how smart, rich, patient, ethical, moral, compassionate, funny, cock blessed, etc., its the opposite.Chicat wrote: Fri Jun 18, 2021 9:09 am

In my experience, those who are truly moral don’t shout about it from the rooftops. They just quietly go about their lives.
The couple that posts the most on social media about how great their relationship is and how strong it is and look at everything they do together is probably doing the worst.UAEebs86 wrote: Fri Jun 18, 2021 10:16 am What 97 said.
Also applies to people who tell you how happy they are, have the best friends/family in the world, how successful they are, etc.
You know what happy, successful people blessed with great friends and family are doing? Out enjoying life and not posting that shit on social media or saying it out loud.
Oh and fuck ASU
I don't even know what to say about that. There are few larger advocates of the anti-racism movement than I. I understand the inequities, systemic issues, and dog whistles. I hate to speak in generalities but anytime I see some anti-BLM social post or some complete misunderstanding of racism in this country it is usually from someone who went to ASU. I grew up in the Confederate South and Phoenix is hands down one of the most racist places I have ever seen. And last year after the Floyd death most major programs put out some sort of message. ASU Football is the only one that put out a tone death copaganda video.Irish27 wrote: Fri Jun 18, 2021 11:56 am card4evermore
They are attacking ASU athletics because Herm and Ray are black. ASU must play the race card to survive.![]()

If true, it’s not just run-of-the-mill cheating. It’s deplorable cheating, to the point that the Sun Devils would have to consider a full housecleaning at the top levels of the football program and the athletic department. (If athletic director Ray Anderson didn’t know what was going on, he should have.)
I don't agree with this. Look at former UA women's basketball coach Niya Butts. She was given 8 long years at Arizona and had just one winning season. After a 5-25 campaign (a third straight losing season) she was given two more years to right ship which resulted in two more losing seasons of 10-20 & 13-19. Seven losing seasons in eight attempts, for a woman of color at a major university.Merkin wrote: Fri Jun 18, 2021 4:02 pm I forgot who said it, but POC need to work twice as hard and be twice as clean as white workers.
No doubt Herm knows that.
Saying that, Sumlin was fired for being an absolute terrible coach. He was just like RichRod, a fired head coach who found out it was a lot easier to not try hard and get paid anyway, than try hard and get paid.
All you’ve proven here is that you know of two coaches who were given a lot of chances to succeed.zonagrad wrote: Thu Jun 24, 2021 2:50 pmI don't agree with this. Ty Willingham went 2-9, 5-7, 4-9 and then 0-12 at UW. That's incredibly bad for a program that has so many recruiting advantages.
