Theme for next week maybe "Payback is a Bitch".

Could face Buffs, Ducks and Utes.

Against all odds, Enfield actually really has done things with that program.

There's one stat in this game I just love, love, love. Bryce had no fouls called on him for the entire game (35 min played). That's just

Take a look at the box score. Take a look at all the fouls the refs were calling on the other players.

Bryce's jersey...clean.
I think we're seeing peak Bryce Alford: zero fouls now for the third half in a row of basketball.

The OSU-ASU game is starting very ugly. How long have the Schaftenaar family been at OSU? 10 years?

Liked the Enfield hire. Sure, he only had the one team, but it was one team in a short time at Florida GULF COAST and they weren't small/mid major grind/measured/execution players....they were straight outta Hollywood, CA, not FL. His style was going to be perfect for USC, especially as the lone sucker punch chance they had to unseat UCLA in LA...kind of what the Clips had to do to get eyes off the Lakers. USC hoops had no reason to rush, and you could see little pieces.

At USC best in the last 20 years, it has been the Lorenzo Orrs, Jeff Trepangiers, Harold Minors, the super athletic players that made USC relevant. Meanwhile, UCLA goes, if possible, more boring than Ben How and, ,but with less history of success and basic morals. This year was the ultimate stamp of approval for USC over UCLA....

Alford essentially created this USC program by refusing to create competition for his son and ignoring local talent and instead chased bigger fish before striking out and everything

Hate was a bit strong but last year in year 2 of his hire, other than the strong incoming recruits, I could see why people would doubt the hire.......that and his lack of experience.....I wasn't a bit apathetic about it....but damn, in year 3 this looks like a home run hire for USC....especially compared to that idiotic hire of Alford across town.

Circle 12/3 on your calendar: AZ/Zaga, UK/UCLA, and KU/Stanford...Pac needs to win two of these games to have a fighting chance on Selection Sunday.

Big day for the Pac-12 but no one expects Stanford or UCLA to be in those games, let alone win them.

Seems like the power in the Pac-12 has swung back to UCLA and may be there to stay given their incoming class. Looks like Alford was the right hire for the job and may be the best coach in the conference?

So Arizona's incoming class doesn't count? And neither does the fact that we're currently missing 6 of our 13 scholarship players that we thought we'd have?

Arizona would probably be a top 3 team if we had PJC, Trier, Smith, Ferguson, and Simon all on the roster like we thought we would in May.

This is what I was talking about yesterday. Everyone puts too much stock in one game.

UCLA wins at Kentucky, Cats lose to the Zags and suddenly the whole balance of power has shifted in college basketball? Hardly.

UCLA also beat Kentucky last year and finished at the bottom of the conference. Now, this year's team is obviously very talented and have been impressive thus far, and this win was at Rupp rather than Pauley, but it does give some credence to taking November and December games with a grain of salt. Alford's UCLA teams have always had lots of talent and under performed. May not be the case this year, but it is clearly a testament to the right top recruits falling right onto his lap this go round rather than him being a good coach  A broken clock is always right twice per day. I mean, the dude is lucky to even have a damn job and I cant think of many coaches who are on the hot seat by consensus who pull in these types of classes.

Alford certainly is recruiting at a very high level now. He also seems to finally have a team that is not underachieving in the non-conference season. It will be interesting to see if he can take this year's team to the Elite 8 or beyond. If they flame out early, the questions about him will remain open.

you'd think. this is his 15th season. they went to the tournament 6 times in his first 9 years with 3 conference tourney titles and 3 sweet 16s. in the 5 years since...they've missed the tournament every year despite his talent there never being better and putting guys in the nba.
