“I played the guys who I felt wanted to be out there,” McKie said, following that game.
Since he already transferred once from Butler, doesn't that mean he has to sit out a year?

Report: UCLA Men's Basketball Contacts Temple Transfer Khalif Battle
According to On3’s Joe Tipton, the Bruins are one of the 15 teams who have reached out to the high-scoring guard.
SAM CONNONMAR 19, 2023 3:59 PM EDT
Battle getting dismissed by a lame duck head coach is a bad sign.

This is a guy I'd offer right away. He transferred to Ole Miss from Duke and is now looking for a new home with Beard taking over in Oxford. He was a high four star recruit coming out of HS.

Wouldn't Jaemyn Brakefield have to sit out a year since he already transferred once?

That's a great question. I think he'd be immediately eligible if he has his degree and enrolls as a grad transfer. He could also try for a waiver since his coach was fired during the season. We know how that usually goes, but theoretically he'd be immediately eligible with two years remaining.

Something to hope for. Hate to have him sit for a year when the Cats are down a scholarship due the IARP penalty.

I believe we held a scholarship open this year for that reason. Someone correct me if I'm wrong about any of this.

Southern Indiana? I have been following college hoops for over 50 years and never heard of that school.

I’m from that area of the world and had to look it up. Used to be Indiana State - Evansville (No, not that University of Evansville). Gotta say it wasn’t on my radar at all, but now I see they are going into the same conference (OVC) as my undergrad school so I might pay attention. Eh, who am I kidding…
Mike Luke mentioned Caleb Love as a transfer possibility. Someone on another site said Anton Watson could be in the mix as a grad transfer.

Caleb Love is an extreme chucker, his teammates clearly hated playing with him
This guy would be good if we were already a super athletic team, but we're not
Am I supposed to get excited about a 6’6” point guard that shoots 30% from 3pt, averaged 11 points, and has a 1.6 ast/to ratio… while putting these numbers up at CBU??

I'm certainly not, don't know why people are loving his mixtapes
We (UofA) hosted Cal Baptist U in 2021-2022 season. The buzz before the game was that CBU had a player from Tasmania that was generating interest from the NBA. Seems like we game planned around stopping this kid. I assume this is the same player?

Wings Tommy!! Sean's obsession with twin towers killed several of his seasons, looks like he's continuing the tradition

I don't remember that but he looks like Kerr with more size. Not saying I love this but we missed on Cody Williams and Thierry Darlan and there are only a handful of big time transfers available. CTL has to make do or pull a rabbit out of the hat.

The NCAA season isn't over yet, many transfers won't formally announce until they've got a destination lined up (tampering be damned), coaches will still change schools, and players haven't declared for the draft yet. There is a still a very long ways to go before declaring transfers won't be helpful for the coming season.

Why do we have 2 threads going about the same topic "2023-2024 season"?

Washington State Guard Bamba Declares NBA Draft, Enters Transfer Portal | Washington State University https://localtoday.news/wa/washington-s ... 25242.html
PULLMAN, Wash. — TJ Bamba, who became a team captain and breakout star in Washington State last season, is pursuing new opportunities.
The Guardian announced Monday, March 27 via Twitter that he was declaring himself for the NBA draft and entering the NCAA transfer portal.
Bamba will gather feedback from professional teams over the next two months while maintaining his college eligibility and considering transfer options. June 1 is the deadline for college players to retire from the NBA draft pool.
And as of the moment, here are the presumed returners for next year barring anything drastic (*this list does not include Azuolas Tubelis currently)!
Guards/Wings: Kylan Boswell, Pelle Larsson, and KJ Lewis (2023 commit)
Forwards: Filip Borovicanin and Tautvilas Tubelis
Center(s): Oumar Ballo, Henri Veesaar, and Dylan Anderson
Assuming Azuolas does not come back, this is a group with A LOT of glaring holes, and that is in on coach Tommy Lloyd for not being more aggressive on the recruiting trail to find the necessary talent to replace his losses.

Wishlist:
TJ Bamba
Mike Mitchell
And Carter Bryant to commit and reclassify.
Boswell
Bamba
Bryant
Pelle
Ballo (Needs even more conditioning and continued improvement)
Bench- KJ Lewis, Mike Mitchell, Borovicanin, Veesaar, Anderson
Problem with this is no real backup PG

I don't think Arizona is moving on Mitchell, but in that scenario he would be your backup PG.

Always thought Filip was more of a wing. But in any case, not sure why Tautvilas would hang around if his brother isn't although the UA has plenty of scholies next season.
Still not convinced Zu is going to leave since he will be getting $100K+ NIL money.
The Baltic pro leagues do not pay well. Remember these guys?

Any opportunity with this dude, Kel'el Ware, C from Oregon? They also mention Arizona has been linked to Ike Graham from WY.
