With Comanche in Culver City and RA still in class doesn't take any insider info to guess who is coming back or not.

Nvm that's the '18 class. Haven't had my coffee yet.

Looks like at least a 2 year player. Big time pick up. I think the '18 class could be Miller's biggest yet. Gotta think Romar played a role in this one. Most had him pegged for UK.

If that's true, a very poor life decision by Chance IMHO.

If chief goes pro he will be a UFA like McConnell.

Doubt he sticks like TJ. This dude isn't near as hungry or have the intangibles TJ did. Plus TJ was a finished product ready to contribute right away. Not a developmental project.

Comanche could just want to go overseas if he really doesn't like school. I sure hope he comes back, though.

Ruh-Roh. RA is Top 40 here (higher than Josh Hart)

https://www.si.com/nba/2017/04/19/2017- ... eaaron-fox" target="_blank
Alkins was a highly-rated recruit, but came to Arizona as one of the lesser-heralded guys on the team. A strong late-season showing cemented the Brooklyn native as one of the Wildcats’ most important players, playing a jack-of-all-trades role for Sean Miller. Reduced offensive usage on a deep roster often kept him from displaying his full scoring toolbox, and the way he embraced that role change should be viewed as a positive. Alkins isn’t a Grade-A leaper and can improve creating his shot off the dribble, but his versatile skills, strong frame and elite intangibles should get him picked if he stays in the draft.

No KS or CC sighting.

Alkins leaving would be a huge blow to us IMO. So sick of this jumping early crap....I've been a diehard fan and UA Bball is my #1 hobby.....feeling worn out lately though.

On the flip side, Dusan is getting major love from me for returning and finishing his education and eligibility....he will be a Wildcat that I will love to follow and cheer for. Lauri, Gordon, Stanley not so much although as Lottery picks, I understand their decisions.

I won't comment on the 'Grant Jerret' class of players.....hoping to hell Rawle and Chance return.

Its stupid. Not even in the NBA do you have to rework your roster every year like top college programs do.

Both are foolish for going early. Any chance of them sticking in the NBA hinge on them developing their game at the college level. Yeah, one or both might get selected in the second round. But how much of an opportunity will they get? D-league? Probably at best. Yet Miles Bridges is coming back for his sophomore year at MSU.

A month or two ago I would've given it 0 chance that Comanche and Alkins would leave but now...It would be a huge blow to our chances next year to lose the two of them and Simmons, even with Trier coming back.

Best thing to do is accept Chance & Rawle are gone and be pleasantly surprised if they come back. Otherwise you'll be disappointed.

I honestly don't get wtf these kids are thinking. You would think the difference between a GJ decision and a Solomon Hill decision would be a lesson but there's no talking to these kids. Was college that miserable, cuz I had a blast and got tons of tail and was just an intramural scrub at WVU.

I wonder if Trier's return has anything to do with their decisions (whatever decision that may be). Trier's a great player but he's very ball dominant.

Very disappointed if it's true bout Alkins likely leaving. I thought he was smarter than that and it seemed like he was really into the school and the fans. Stupid move for sure if he leaves. Maybe it has to do with Trier but who knows. He was my favorite layer last year but this would really make me annoyed.

Also, if he's going to leave, just go ahead and hire an agent already. let Miller and the team know so they can focus on Bowen or another replacement. At this point CC and RA are hurting the program.

If I'm skeptical about Trier's chances to make an impact in the league, I'm downright convinced the Alkins won't. The kid is unpolished and not hugely athletic. He's got a similar skill set to Stanley Johnson without the vertical size. A bit better finisher at the rim, I suppose, but I doubt that makes up for his lack of height. The kid is too short to play SF in the league and too slow to play SG. He's got no singular skill which will make him stand out.

Other than his personality and work ethic, I don't think he'll impress many NBA scouts.

He reminds me a bit of a junior Solomon Hill w a few differences. Hill was 2 inches taller, a better shooter, better passer, but alkins is a better finisher and more athletic and a bit stronger. I know that makes it seem like a bad comparison but point is they were both high iq players who were good at everything but great at none. Also worth noting Hill improved tremendously from his junior to senior year and is now a multi millionaire.

I think it's a HUGE mistake for Alkins to leave.

He's not elite NBA athletic for a guy his size like a JR Smith was coming out. Or a Zack Levine or T Ferg will be or heck even a Nick Johnson. Those are guys who can block an opposing SGs shot from time to time. I don't see Alkins doing much of that. In order to stick in NBA if he goes this year he's gonna have to be a lights out shooter when he works out for teams (I'll assume he gets a combine invite but that's not a given)

Culture problem? Is the environment really that bad that kids will leave when they likely shouldn't? Or has Miller recruited the kids with poor decision making?

Something is definitely going on. Hopefully this is enough of a shock for Miller to take a hard look at how things could evolve.
