plays in the competitive French third division against professionals and has developed much of France's young basketball talent historically. Bal averaged 9.8 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 27 minutes over the course of 18 games.

Bal, who doesn't turn 18 until the middle of December, could be the youngest player in college basketball next season, following a similar route to Gonzaga's Joel Ayayi, who also enrolled as a 17-year old. He has excellent size for a guard with a 6'11 wingspan, and strong versatility as a passer, shot-maker and defender that should allow him to play a variety of roles in different lineup configurations as he gains strength and experience.

"It came down to opportunity. I had no clear intention of going to college and really considered going pro, but offers were fairly limited in France. So when the Arizona offer came around late, with the level of facilities, staff and the development plan for me there, it was really difficult to pass up."

Damn he's pretty young.

Yeah I'd expect a redshirt here. He may run into similar issues as Kerr did last year anyways, so it makes sense on a lot of fronts.

I'd agree with this. He has great length, but he's rail thin and all scouting says his J and remainder of game need to grow.

He doesn't address the right now, but if he's patient, he could be an asset next year or the year after.

Needs to add some muscle and work on his three point shot. After a redshirt year, all that can be figured out. I expect this year a redshirt. Next year hopefully to be a rotational guy. And by year three, maybe be a stud in the starting lineup. Kids got potential. Classic Lloyd recruit. Take a year to bulk up a bit. Year two start getting some run. And by year three the keys are turned over to you. Should be fun to see his progress

Pelle is a great shooter, but has a major issue with turnovers and was average in all other areas. He might start, but I'm not sure he's better than Mathurin/Terry at the 2.

Pelle isn't a 1 and Bal isn't likely ready. That means Kerr is still the only viable PG on our roster, so adding a PG would be really important if we don't plan on playing Kerr 40 mpg or cancelling the season if he gets hurt.

I could see both Pelle and Kerr starting, but I also wouldn't be stunned if neither started. There's still a ton to be determined.

That doesn't really put me off, we just can't be in a situation where Kerr is our only option. I'm fine with Kerr starting and think he'll do well, but he can't be the only guy.

I've heard things, but nothing makes me confident it's a real option. Probably more poking and prodding at the option than anything, especially with his friend now committed. I doubt it'd be an actual option as the guy is a lotto pick next year, and if he doesn't stay overseas, he's likely going to that G League team.

I would take Harris or Cook off of Gonzaga's hands.

Cook would be nice as a veteran on a young team, and a guy who might not care to come in as a back-up (so he doesn't eat up growth opportunity for our young players) - love his defense and he has a respectable three point shot.

Harris has the higher ceiling and I'd be stoked to add him as a second year player who has experience in Lloyd's system - would be a better pick-up than anyone not named "Washington." Good outside shot, attacks well off the dribble, can make the open pass, nice size and length to defend across the perimeter.

It would suck, but like Tyty, Arizona has been recruiting them for like 3 weeks at most.

Could mean Brown stays however if Kaluma goes to McDermott.
