Holmes is a 5-9, 175, Freshman wide receiver/athlete from Newbury Park HS, Camarillo, CA. A running back most of his career he spent his senior year as primarily a receiver. Holmes had 762 receiving yards, 13 receiving TDs and just 189 yards rushing as a senior and was selected to the Blue-Grey All-American Bowl.
Holmes will likely start as a slot receiver, but certainly could add weight and end up as a running back before his Wildcat career is over. His father, Darick Holmes, Sr, played 5 years in the NFL as a running back with the Bills, Packers, and Colts.
