59 Matthew Stagg
Stagg is a 6'2", 230, redshirt Senior linebacker from Kathleen, GA. A walk-on, transfer from Georgia (2012-2014) he sat out last year and was on our practice squad. There are no stats for Stagg for 2013 or 2014 at Georgia, so I am not sure if he ever saw the field. At best, he should give us added depth at LB and some help on special teams. He also should help with team GPA since he was on the ADs honor roll at Georgia and the biggest accolades on his bio are for academics.
59 is the Arizona record for points scored in a conference game set when Arizona scored 59 against Wash St in 2014.

Re: 59 Matthew Stagg
If he is a walk on that means he doesn't count towards the team GPA does it?
Looks like he picked up a DUI in Georgia. Wasn't drunk, just underage driving while drinking.

Re: 59 Matthew Stagg
Is that the conference record or just AZ's Pac-12 record points? Oregon dropped 61 on ASU last year.ANGCatFan wrote:59 is the Arizona and PAC 12 record for points scored by one team in a conference game set when Arizona scored 59 against Wash St in 2014.

You are correct. I reused my info from last year and didn't update with the AssU beat down. I've corrected the original post.
Re: 59 Matthew Stagg
Well, let's help ASU get a place in the record books by dropping 62 on them this year
