94 is an open roster spot so we will look at one of the incoming players.


Taufahema is a 6-3, 310, Junior JC transfer defensive tackle from Bishop Alemany HS, College of the Canyons, and Mission Hills, CA. He had 24 tackles last year (2.5 for a loss) along with 1 sack.

Taufahema will add immediate size to the defensive line and should see immediate playing time as well as battle for a starting spot. Taufahema enrolled in January and would be already on the roster if we had a football SID who came to work. He also still has a redshirt year available to use.



94 yards is Jackie Wallace's record for the longest punt return in Arizona history accomplished against Ucla in 1971.

Can't teach size, although that is a basketball axiom. His stats seem somewhat underwhelming for such a large JC player though.

Is a redshirt in order, or can RichRod not wait that long?

The defensive tackle is just coming off an official visit to New Mexico and held offers to Hawaii, UMass, and Montana State. He felt that Arizona State was very close to offering as well.
