Inside Info RE: Arizona/BYU Tickets In Vegas

Post by TheCatInTheHat »

So BYU has sold out its allotment, likely on a first-come-first served basis. UArizona naturally does what it does for bowl games and squeezes people by doling out tickets based on their donation point total level. So they'll take "reservations", but won't do their allocation until May, and you have to wait to see what you get and how much you pay at that point. They've got the lower bowl at Allegiant Stadium on the Arizona side pretty well reserved, except for some scattered singles, for some reason. If you're interested in having control of your own fate in terms of selecting your seats, rather than being stuck in the middle of a section or paying more than you want to be closer, I believe the two decks above that on the Arizona side go on sale to the general public on Monday. But, there's a "pre-sale" for "family and friends" on Ticketmaster going on right now. The code to unlock the tickets is VEGAS. Two caveats. First, Ticketmaster will slap on some fairly hefty taxes and fees. Not sure if that's also the case through the UArizona ticket office. Second, you can't save off the UPC code to your device to be scanned for entry. You either have to access their web site via e-mail at entry, which can be problematic with large crowds at a stadium with cell tower capacity issues, or you need to load it into the Ticketmaster app to access offline. There's a blue line that scrolls back and forth over the UPC code for it to be validated. Welcome to Aldous Huxley's Brave New World.
