Here is what they wrote for those who won't click on the link:
"Coach Adia Barnes has vowed to hit the transfer portal hard. If she has any success, the Wildcats might be better than they were this season. Cate Reese and Shaina Pellington, the two top scorers, will be back for fifth seasons, and Barnes has already added a top-10 recruiting class, featuring 6-4 Maya Nnaji from Minnesota."

The best part is that she's from ASU lol.
Glad she finally made the smart choice.

For a senior, it makes all kinds of sense. She sees what Adia's got going, with the returnees and influx of transfers and freshmen. Meanwhile, if their website is up to date, ASU loses 5 of their top 6 scorers, with now only 8 on their roster, and with a coach from Delaware coming in to install a new system. It would have been an ugly and thankless task to try and carry a team like that to anything like respectability, and no place for anybody with future aspirations of playing ball to showcase their talents. Meanwhile, we get the second-leading scorer in the conference. We had a dream season (see what I did there?) with Aari, but I think most people would agree looking at our roster now that there's more talent across the board. The pieces and attitudes will all have to fit together, but it's pretty clear that Adia isn't interested in preaching patience. The future is now, as George Allen used to say, and it's time for a full-throttle shot at another Final Four.

Damn it. I feared that knee brace was too intense for a bump on the knee. As much as I’d love to have her back on the basketball court, I do wonder if it’s time for her to go back to volleyball. After all, her long term health is paramount. Next woman up!

That's too bad about Lauren, but fortunately this team has depth. Hopefully Cate did not suffer a bad concussion last Tuesday night. She also hurt her shoulder during the fall, but from what the other players were saying, the shoulder should be fine.

Sorry for Lauren. She was going to be a big piece in this years puzzle.

Can we match/beat the men's 117?

We're scoring 30 pts/qtr so 91 + 30 = 121 so we got a chance if we don't let off the gas too much

113-56, wow! This team is so loaded. They have so many athletic players. The offense is going to be high octane.

I don't care it was two easy opponents, I love how the men and women started the season with blowout 100+ point wins.

Considering Cate is still working her way back and aware is out, this is pretty impressive. We really struggled to score last year and hopefully this is a sign that we won’t have that issue to deal with

Why didn't Nnaji play - is she injured?

She did not play due to an injury, but they did not release any info. She was sitting on the bench and looked ok. Hopefully it's just something minor.

So both the men and women at ASU are terrible? Love it! This is going to be a fun year!

Adia mentioned it was tendinitis and she could have played but they didn't want to use her for a meaningless game.

If we can get the defense close to what it was then I think we have all the ingredients for a deep run. Scoring does not seem to be a big issue and it was even when we appeared in the championship game. Time will tell.

3rd Quarter was real sloppy. That will bite us when we start conference. Lots of fouls also. Pick it up girls.
No idea where Pellington is but something is wrong with this team. I love Gilbert and she scores but hogs the ball and shoots too much in my opinion. In this game I'm glad she has but everyone just standing around. Hard to touch the ball when she is the lead guard. They'll figure it out but not a well oiled team by any stretch.

Gilbert has 17 of our 34 and Maddie has 9. Three starters with zero. At the half.
