Carroll is in his first year leading Arizona's strength and conditioning program after holding the same roll at SJSU last year. Prior to SJSU Carroll spent 9 years at Standford serving the last 4 as the Director of Football Performance.
Carroll is a graduate of Willamette University where he was an all-conference linebacker and got his first job immediately after his Senior season of football. That spring he was the head strength and conditioning coach for the team he was just playing on.
Arizona was in the red zone 57 times last year and scored 38 TDs and 15 field goals for a 93% scoring rate. SJSU was also in the red zone 57 times and had 35 TDs and 10 field goals for a 79% scoring rate.
