20 Marquis Groves-Killebrew

Groves-Killebrew is a 6-0, 185, redshirt Sophomore defensive back from Louisville and Atlanta, GA. He started his career at Texas A&M and played in 3 games with 2 tackles and then played last season at Louisville where he did not see the field. Not a very impressive resumé for a consensus 4 star recruit. Well, it turns out that Arizona was the first school to discover that Groves-Killebrew had been playing the last 2 years with a hernia which is now repaired. He is the likely starter at cornerback and should be one of our many immediate impact transfers.

Our longest punt return last year was 20 yards by Jacob Cowing against Oregon St.

Apparently the hernia was really bothering him.

Now that it’s fixed he’s performing very well in practice.

I’m looking forward to see how it translates into the field this season.

I gotta wonder how no one else noticed a hernia for 2 years...
