You know you can score when you turn it over 21 times and still average 1.23 points per possession.

I can't remember the article, but it about was about Arizona football and it referenced like 14 different years in the article that wasn't 2021 or 2022. It's just the same shit over and over.

Re: The 2021-2022 Season Thread
The biggest learning lesson from this game is Koloko and AT need to get engaged early in the game. Teams are going to make those two work their assess off to get into a halfcourt offense.

Tennessee made as many free throws as Arizona attempted and Arizona turned the ball over 17 times while losing by four. They shot better from 2 and 3 than Tennessee, too.Carcassdragger wrote: ↑Thu Dec 23, 2021 10:12 am Ha UA ever lost a game that UA fan doesn't blame the officials for?

Going to be interesting if better teams start using the "Giannis wall" on the whole team to stop easy transition pts like both teams did this past week. Not just triangle and two but actually face guarded both Benn and Kerr and dared the other players left wide open for the most part to beat them. Some statistics from early this season that are very relevant:
- #4 effective field goal % defensively
- #2 2 point field goal % defensively
- #2 in assists / FGM
Arizona's size is a massive advantage for this team and it's no surprise it comes in parallel with Koloko's development.

You can tell Koloko is just so much more confident than he was a year ago.
Also, seeing these guys in person twice thus far, they are FAST. And they're 6th in average possession length.

I think this year's schedule is a mix of not securing enough home and home / COVID / a brand new coach who started late in April. Gonzaga went to the national title game, Baylor won it all and Illinois was a #1 seed, those are some high quality opponents over the last few years.
