With all the discussion on the poor roster construction and recruiting misses, it is crazy to think how much worse this team could have been if love didn’t come back.

Really weird game today.

LMU has not hit the ball hard at all except for one mistake form stoddard in the first inning. Really poor defensive decisions from the cats and leaving runners on have hurt them tonight.

I do not question Lloyd’s and his staff’s ability to coach. They have done a bang up job given the state of current roster. But is disappointing thinking about how good this team could be with a wing or guard that can shoot and isn’t a defensive liability.

Didn't catch the first game, but the second game is having all sorts of technical issues. It's buffering like crazy and even crashed at one point, showing someone's windows screen for a few minutes while the stream rebooted. Seriously worse quality than the Pac 12 ever had.

I have no clue what the 3b coach was thinking there. The outfielder has the ball before Baringer even got to 3rd. No reason to make the 2nd out at home in a tie game. I understand wanting to be aggressive but that was dumb.

I agree. I have been really impressed by shockey. Kennedy is a stud and a hell of a defensive player too.

I did not expect pitching to be what is so far. I know they have played a lot of small schools, but Silva and Stoddard have pitched so well.

Guys honestly this isn't all bad defense. They have hit some really hard shots. Bad matchup for us in a couple of places. Keep digging and taking only good shots and we have a chance to get this game back under control. First 7 minutes will tell us how this will end IMHO.
