Great! I’ve enjoyed watching the few games I’ve seen on TV. Maybe I’ll try to attend this one.

Wow. 8 minutes left in the game, TCU breaks away against run of play and is one v one against UofA keeper. Puts it off the top crossbar, rebound, Arizona defender nearly own goals instead it bounces off side bar. Near miss. Not sure how. Still 1-0.

Yup 4 seed Penn State and if we get by them we play #1 seed Stanford who won their first round matchup by 15 fricken goals

Great season. I caught the last 10 minutes of the 2nd half and overtime. Even though they lost, it was a great season. Amato has 8 commits coming in next year. Reading up on the recruits, it looks like Nicole Dallin, Jenna Studer and Megan Chelf can contribute right away.

What happened? Don't most teams go into a prevent defense when up by 2 goals?

Our defense seems to be quite suspect. And they had one player who ran roughshod through it. Honestly it’s hard to apply analysis to the sport when the skill level and athletic prowess is so far below what you are used to seeing say when you watch the women’s national team.

5 players transferring including the highest ranked player we ever signed. She was the girl who scored that incredibly difficult shot against UCLA. Guess that’s the norm in college sports these days

Caught some of an early morning practice at Bear Down Field today. Maybe they're doing some work on the field at Murphy/Mulcahy. It was interesting and very intense, as they worked on a pressure offense. I played at playing some soccer in middle school, but I was never much of a fan of watching it until the last few years with this team. They're a lot of fun to watch.

Cats Beat ASU 1-0

Maybe I missed it, but I swear there was no media coverage. I guess the match was on Pac-12 Network, but I don't think it appeared in the TV listings, and the only thing said about it was a mention in the preview story for today's match at USC. Anyway, nice job by the soccer gals as they're at 6-3 with 6 matches remaining and a shot at making the NCAA's. Note that, with a Covid scheduling fluke, we'll play at ASU in a second match on April 16 to end the regular season.

Tony Amato is leaving for Florida. This is a big loss. He totally changed this program around. I wonder who Robby has in his Rolodex that sliced oranges for their kids’ league but has some heart surgery connection to replace him.

Damn, that is a big loss.

I'm guessing Robby Bobbins will let Heeke make this hire and then fire him for it one day.

Sucks big time. Maybe Heeke would let GB make the hire since he did a great job finding Amato. Need to keep the recruits and players from transferring. Aguilera said she was going to come back for her 5th year, let's hope she does not change her mind. Talley has not decided yet.

Another head coach with no head coach experience. I’m stunned.

“Arizona has hired Gotham FC assistant and longtime NWSL player Becca Moros as its new head soccer coach.

Very interesting hire. The 36-year-old is the youngest head coach in the Pac-12 and this will be her first head coaching gig.” Ryan Kelapire

UA women's teams lost $9.6M last FY, while men's teams made $19M, which is obviously FB and BB, with all the other mens' teams losing money.

And why the UA kept Niya Butts way too long.

Going to get worse too for the womens' programs if elite male athletes get additional benefits since the AD will need to fund those too. Not talking about endorsement deals, but what that the Supreme Court eliminated limits on benefits for NCAA athletes. You need a Macbook, iPhone and an iPad? No problem!

Like the confidence of the new coach but we will see. She has a huge hill to climb when it comes to recruiting. We can make at least two of our women's sports revenue neutral or better. Softball and Basketball.

Heard her on radio the other day.
Says “um” a lot.
Seems to have a solid resume.

She care across as thinking she could improve a lot of tactics.

Down side: she is a Dookie

Sounds like she’s only been in Tucson a day or two and she went back on road to recruit.

Said she had let it be known in soccer circles that she wanted to be a HC and a search firm contacted her about AZ.
