Watchya buyin?
nothin. either paying tuition or student loans down for the wife or just saving it. only purchase i would probably make is new tires for my car and a timing belt for hers.
so i don't own the world as much as i though haha.
I used to think you make money, you get that money. I remember standing in line for a ride at the state fair, and I told the toothless ride operator he's lucky.
"Why?" he asked.
"You don't have to go to school tomorrow," I said. "You get to make money."
appreciate it! i'm still even with the raise by no means anywhere near as wealthy as some of you people on here, but it's a big step in the right direction.
i was going to put the ua/asu records here...but i forgot what they were.
Why do I own the world? Because I got a motherfucking sweet new job!!!
It's actually with my former biggest client so I can now subtly stick it to my old company behind the scenes. HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Since I'll be drinking and watching the game alone in my living room tonight . . . most definitely yes.

Oh, I also got a 30% raise. So yeah, drinks are on me!

BOOM!!!!!!!
Did you tell your wife about your 10% raise?
Actually we'll need to take a look at our spending and make some tough choices now that I'm going to be making 10% less than I was before.

Haha, you're killing me Merk. Counting the days until I can complete the drug screening...

Good job, Chi. Good job.

Congratulations, Chi! In addition to the clean slate and all that money, enjoy the most blessed time in life: having a new job that hasn't started yet. It's all the joy of being unemployed without the worry.
little plug for my wife...tis RN school and not med school but I'm still very proud of her. She is the only person this semester in her cohort/class to get straight A's. there's a dozen people who have previous experiences as CNA's or LPN's and she's still the only one to maintain a 93% or better in all her course, lab, and clinical work.
Unintentionally sat next to the CEO of a 10+ billion dollar company at a closing dinner, beat my class level bonus by 50 percent and had a max unit partner tell the managing partner to put me up this cycle. Excellent week all around.

My brother got into the Harvard MBA progran. It's not really about me, but it's a pretty cool family accomplishment. Of course, he got waitlisted from Cal.
With being said we are about to go into debt again. My youngest starts college next fall and we are getting ready to remodel both bathrooms and re-floor the entire house.

Congrats! The wife and I just finished remodeling our entire house in November. We weren't planning on remodeling until this year but we wanted to get it done before our first child was born in December. Made my last student loan payment this month. Only debt we now have is mortgage and hospital bills from labor and delivery. Looking forward to just having mortgage as our only debt. Though I can see us needing a new vehicle in a year or two.

Please do. I read yesterday that as of like 2016, when adjusted for cost of living, the mean teacher salary in Arizona was 50 out of 50 among states. Less than $41k a year.

That's is correct. And on top of that we are 48th in overall funding with the 4th highest class sizes. Shit's gotta change.

Actually, scratch what I said. There will be an education initiative on the ballot in November but I didn't write it and I think it's doomed to fail. I did my best.

What’s the catch?

No new revenue stream, which means he'll be pulling it from other parts of the education budget. Education funding has been slashed to the bone, and without raising taxes, you're not going to fix it.
