Oklahoma is the number 1 state for natural disasters, and OKC the number one city. Even more now due to fracking earthquakes.

I thought extreme weather events were punishment from God?

Oh wait, that's only in blue states.

Solar flare is really fucking with my internet. Only Firefox can connect. Edge and Chrome are toast from here.

Colorado man and 34 cows struck and killed by lightning in Jackson County]

A 51-year-old man and almost three dozen cows were struck and killed by lightning in Northern Colorado on Saturday afternoon, the Jackson County Sheriff's Office said on Sunday.

The Jackson County Coroner's Office identified the man as Mike Morgan and said 34 of his cows were also killed in that strike.

A sheriff's office spokeswoman said Morgan was killed while feeding his cattle in the town of Rand, about 120 miles northwest of Denver.

"Our deepest condolences go out to family and friends during this difficult time," Jackson County Sherriff Jarrod Poley said in a statement.

Mrs. Dove's uncle and family lives in Claremore, OK northeast of Tulsa. Her mom lives in Harrison, Ar. 160 miles east as the crow flies. Saturday night through Sunday morning a super cell began west of Claremore and traversed that 160 miles spawning multiple EF2 and EF3 tornados along a 2 mile wide path and continued on for another 40 miles to Mountain Home, AR. All of our folks are OK but things are really bad in tornado alley.

The middle of Country Club fills up with water because it’s a V section. It’s bad enough, but I’ve never noticed a wash at Ft Lowell.

There’s Cemetary wash farther west.

These kind of reports remind me of my 16 years living in Tucson - Most of my residences had evaporative coolers (basically, turn it on in May, turn it off in September); And when summer storms and humidity would approached, those units' efficiency would severely decline...

When the storm arrived, the cooling was wonderful.

When the storm missed, the house was unbearable!!

My first two houses had swamp coolers. Almost 10 years. We put AC in the second one when the twins were expected that summer.

It was amazing. Our bills went down with the high efficiency Trane.

I’d never go back.

We haven't gotten hit by any storms yet up here in the Valley. Hopefully tonight we do. It's been a little cooler over ther weekend but very humid.
