The gulf has a current water temperature of 86 degrees. Anything 81 or over causes the wind speed to increase.

Thank goodness for the pacific ocean being in the 50s and 60s.

Hurricane Helene is now upgraded to a Cat 4 hurricane, and it isn't close to shore yet. Sustained winds of 130 mph. Another thing happening is extreme flash flooding, especially in North Carolina. Expect Atlanta to have sever flooding. The hurricane isn't expected to weaken before landfall. More likely it will intensify.

My aunt has a beach house on the barrier islands next to Tampa, wonder how that's going
i was going to put the ua/asu records here...but i forgot what they were.

i'll just go with fuck asu.

The idea that we really need to see reporters getting pummeled live by 100 mph winds remains totally asinine. Someone is going to die.

Apparently Asheville, NC, of all places, is about to get completely ruined by flooding. We just got back from there 3 days ago. Such an amazing place.

Asheville as about 270 miles or so from the coast. That's just crazy.

Cedar Key is about 30 miles north of Tampa.
