Depends on whay you are looking for? What is the primary dtiver? We just stayed at the Cromwell and it gets very high marks from me. Outstanding location across from Ceasars. Super comfy bed. Boutique hotel so no long lines to check in (only 180 rooms) and to game on the floor. Drei's nightclub was fantastic.

As you know you can find what ever you want in Vegas, just depends what that is. Get a skyloft at MGM and invite the girls back to your room to party

I really like the Golden Nugget downtown, especially after all their mid 2000's upgrades (pool area, wow).

Encore is awesome, a little pricey but a double can easy fit up to 6 people.

Downtown - Nugget
Strip - Too many good options, name a price and what you guys will be doing and we can narrow it down
Just off strip - Platinum Hotel Suites

Anyone else really miss the Boardwalk? Place was cheap as shit for weekends back when I was in law school.

For a group trying to be somewhat adult but not blow a ton of money - try Mandalay. Usually has really cheap suites.
