on Fan Duel.

Those sites are in trouble. They are about to have the piss regulated out of them.

I saw the OTL segment yesterday. It sounds like they were taking information from their site (player owned stats) and using it to win money. Essentially insider trading.

A lot of people are about to lose a lot of money....It seems they have substantial debt/equity on the line and it could go the way of on-line poker and be illegal overnight.

"FanDuel and DraftKings together control some 95% of the North American daily fantasy market and have respective valuations of $1.3 billion and $1.2 billion. Neither has made a profit, though, due to heavy ad spending to draw in customers. For instance, during just one week last month, DraftKings had 5,800 television commercial airings for about $20 million, according to ad tracker iSpot.tv.

The sites generate revenue by keeping a portion of the money their users pay to participate in the contests. FanDuel said it generated $57 million in revenue in 2014 and awarded $564 million in cash prizes, while DraftKings said it made $30 million in revenue last year and gave away $300 million in prizes. FanDuel has said it would dole out $2 billion in prizes this year, while DraftKings has pledged to give away at least $1 billion in prizes this year."

Those ads are a little annoying since they play them so much.

If it were possible to make me give even less of a shit about fantasy leagues, those commercials accomplished that.

So, in short, f*ck FanDuel and DraftKings. Nobody, and I mean nobody, will miss you.

Those are my feelings but you have to admit that those sites probably made a shit ton of money. Don't overestimate the intelligence of the American consumer.
Just show a commercial showing the 3 or 4 winners out of billions and they will come.

Nice comparison given that insurance is essentially a gamble as well with the house always winning.

You can't? I was going to ask if anybody has played and if they won any money.
