Really. Tons of historical stuff, outdoor activities, and some great restaurants and bars.

I don't like Atlanta at all

I prefer being by the water myself but Atlanta is not a bad place - doing pretty well economically and the some of the suburbs (e.g. Buckhead) are nice. You can certainly purchase a nice home at a reasonable price still.

Wow surprised by the Atlanta hate.

Have a really good friend here working at the CDC. Be taking me to some great restaurants and bars, and a few of the area museums.

Has really come along since the last time I was here 6 years ago.

No Las Vegas thread, so I'll just ask in the Atlanta thread.

Any advice on what to expect if I spent March Madness in Vegas? Thinking about taking my Dad to the sportsbooks to watch the first weekend of tipoffs (March 19-22) and wanted to know what to expect. Huge crowds? More expensive hotel rooms?

Dudes everywhere and strippers brought in from Eastern Europe and South America.

The sports books are the bigger nicer casinos (caesers, Bellagio, PH) are electric.

Overall fun, but you’ll pay for it.
