Holy shit, folks...
Parents, raise you're daughters to be strong women, capable of thinking for themselves, who identify only the best traits in their significant others, and who heed wise counsel.
I know, easier said than done. But do it. As best you can, make sure they know the assholes when they see them, and avoid the assholes at all costs.
My sister, hard worker, single mother of two thanks to her ex-asshole husband, is now having to shield her children from the fact their daddy has had an arrest warrant issued for him for things he easily could have avoided, and it taken care of when initially approached by the authorities.
He's now likely losing his current job as he will be arrested, and will likely spend time in jail while awaiting trial, and may have already admitted to the wrongdoing enough to the point he is in jail for longer.
Thankfully they were legally separated at the time of the alleged crimes, but that doesn't stop the shit from flowing downstream quick.
The situation is a nightmare.
While I says "raise your daughters", really, just raise your kids to avoid all assholes. Care enough for them to hate you for times when you've helped them by putting your foot down.
I love my niece and nephew, and I wouldn't trade them for the world. But fuck their dad is the innocent, sweet-talking form of trouble that roots itself subtlety, but deeply, so when it gets unearthed, it fucks up the lives of everything it's ever been surrounded by.
