Off Season

It is here. 5 long, long months of a wasteland of sports. Summer Olympics? Meh. Baseball? Meh. NBA playoffs? Somewhat meh.

What are your plans to get through the next 5 months of crushing boredom?

I plan on getting married and staying away from the sun as much as possible with a beer in my hand as often as possible.

Watching golf and playing golf (way more relaxing for me than wildcat hoops!), MLB and NBA playoffs are semi-interesting. I think I'll really use the time to pick up on the exercise even more, focus on my family for awhile lol, watch a lot of movies I'm behind on...especially these next few weeks, I lose 95% of my interest once the Cats are bounced.

Lots of bike riding. Going to ride STP in July. STP is a 2 day bike ride from Seattle to Portland with 10,000 riders. Then my wife & I are spending 2 weeks in the PNW. Should be a lot of fun.

That ride looks like a blast. Have fun.

Yeah I've lost almost complete interest in the rest of the tournament.

Same here.

Since I don't have a DVR, will enjoy getting those evening and weekend hours back.

Training for a 10k in May.
Saving for a house.
Chicago in April
Vegas in July
Boston in August

Wanna split a lot of my weekends between SF, Sac and American river/auburn, Tahoe.

Euro 2016

Group stage will not be great with the expanded field. But the knock out stages will be some of the best football in the world.

I third the golf thing. I've banked a whole lot of free Saturdays from the wife. Which will probably equate to 2 and a half rounds, but it is what it is.

Mental break from sports. The NFL season, MLB playoffs, and Arizona basketball (this mostly) drain me from September through March. So ill catch some baseball games, more relaxed, and we will see how far the Celtics go in the postseason. But after that, lots of extra time to spend with the family.
