Harold steamrolls Paine and Paine gets ejected.

Was someone arguing about the refs not favoring the Lakers in this series?

The Lakers are trying to have Caruso guard Booker?
Good luck with that.

Who else does LA have? Their guards are average at best. That is why I predicted Suns in 6. Booker is a bigger mismatch than anyone on LA

Good luck with that.

While he's not going to stop Booker, Caruso is actually one of the better defensive guards in the league. He's got 2.1 defensive win shares, which is top 20 among all guards in the league. His defensive efficiency is 4th amoung all guards, 3rd among point guards.

I don't watch enough NBA, does Caruso normally cover the other teams best player?

Against Steph last game, the Lakers were getting crushed when Schroder was on him. Steph was a turnover machine when Caruso was on him. I dont think he can sustain his efforts for 30 minutes a game however, and so he doesnt play heavy minutes because he's not a great two way player. His offensive efficiency is down this year, from his past two years. His BPM is still a negative. His per 36 PPG is just at 11, so he doesnt contribute much in that ways. He's really just a 3&D guy

Now that my Lakers are out I am rooting for the Suns (and our guy Deandre) to win it all so I called the league and made sure all current Laker/League/Ref conspiracies now be transferred to the Suns in the next series.

Although that didn't work well the last round so I have no idea what's going on.

DA does not need to win that battle... just needs to defend without fouling and rebound. We have an advantage everywhere else on the court

Suns in 6

Exactly (if Bridges does his job on Porter). But I'm still pushing back against this idea about the Suns being favored in spite of Ayton. I think he'll be smart with his fouls, saving enough for Jokic's flops. I think he'll defend well enough neutralize Jokic's assists with respect to the Suns as a team. And fight to a draw with Jokic's rebounds. And generally make Jokic work defensively on the pick-and-roll, and keep him at his scoring average. I don't care how many points Ayton scores.

DA's numbers vs Jokic this year have been among the best against opposing centers this season. If he puts up his season #'s against Jokic in this series it won't be a close one.

DA is playing his best basketball of his short career right now. I'm not worried about him playing small in this series.

That's great.
DA is the type of player who needs to be engaged to be effective. His worst game in the Laker series was game 6... when AD was out.... Ayton kind of disappeared.... he played his best when AD was at full strength.
