Trier is a pro. Him coming back depends on how much he continues to improve this season. At this rate, I think he will get some looks in the 1st. I think he needs another year developing his game without the ball in his hands. Sure, that could happen in the NBA as well, but im not sure his draft grade is going to warrant leaving Tucson.

That said, he is trending up in a big way.

Bruce is a good guy. He's got a lot to cover. Recruiting services cover recruiting but not the day to day team stuff. Bruce has to keep his finger on everything and filter the important stuff for necessary articles.

Hansen's analysis has to be taken with a grain of salt. His opinions on the team usually follow the consensus of analysis of most of this board's posters. Sure he's wrong some times. But he's not cheerleading either. It's clear he thinks a lot of Sean Miller and the job he's doing so far.

That's the exact moment I stopped reading, but I should have known better than to even start reading a Pascoe article
Agree with your point, but you're nuts about Pascoe. He's got the best take on the program of anyone in Tucson. Maybe not so much with recruiting, but otherwise he's at the top.
Ehhh. I've never been to Tucson, so that means little to me. Don't typically read articles that aren't about recruiting so it's probably just that I've never seen his good stuff and always read his bad recruiting stuff. Point taken, though.
Uh, what??? How'd you become a U of A fan then? I kinda figure that everyone on here is an alumnus.

Dad went to Colgate (barely division 1). I went to Colgate. Grew up in NH (no major basketball programs plus my mom went to BU so I hate BC).

Saw Damon play when I was 7. He was a little lefty PG, I was a little lefty PG. Plus, you know, Mighty Mouse.

Rest is history

Well Arizona and Colgate do have one thing in common.

Both lost at home to Bucknell in 2012 by nearly identical scores.

Around campus and 4th Avenue is really cool. I am still a member of Food Conspiracy Coop. There are so many unique restaurants on 4th Avenue. There are a lot of traditions in Tucson, and the Sonoran mexican food can't be beat.

Oh I'll get there eventually. Likely plan a trip once my wife and I get back from our 1-2 years abroad. I really want to go for a Thursday Saturday Pac 12 weekend, think that would be amazing for my first games at McKale

No, not everyone. I have credit hours from a dozen colleges/universities including both USCs, Maryland, Central Michigan, et al, but none from U of A. I was a retiree with time on my hands, admired Lute as a person 2+ years my senior and attended pick-up games. That is where I became a Wildcat as I talked to the players and got my basketballs autographed. BTW, I still have some and none of my family is really interested in them. Hint! Hint!.

Is a decision looming or will this extend past the college hoop season??

I know conventional wisdom would be a wait and see approach from Jj but if he pretty much knows the team he'd have around him next year (w trier as only exception) at either school ..... Is it possible a decision comes sooner?

I mean he's naturally going to take all his visits or most of them, but anybody remotely following this recruitment knows it's an Arizona/MSU battle. Enjoy the groupies in Lawrence though.

Only players lacking in moral compass and work ethic pick Kansas over Arizona or MSU. But they can ride on a hope and a prayer that he is the typical Kansas bitch if they want. He isn't.

Maybe he wants to follow the trail other top recruits such as Josh Selby and Xavier Henry blazed.

Miller in Michigan to watch Jackson:

MSU in "Full Court Press" for Jackson

At least Jacksons mom isn't a copy of Ivan Rabbs mother........she wouldn't even discuss his recruitment. That gives me some hope that MSU isn't a slam dunk.

If going to school in Michigan was such a big deal to the people who matter in his recruitment he certainly wouldn't be living and playing in Northern California right now.

JJ's camp had to walk back that report. Apparently the writer took some liberties with what JJ said, or at least interpreted things in a way they would have rathered he hadn't.

In truth, there is a leader in his recruitment. A lot would have to happen for that to change. But JJ and his mom are being smart right now and not shutting the door on any opportunities.

A combination of Ray Smith, Justin Simon and Elliott Pitts.

Or we could just land JJ and play him and Smith at the 3 and let those other guys back up the 2. That is the best solution.
